@PistonStandard @samueljrob Nobody calls them the stones. I’ve been here 50+ years. It’s been either Pistons or Bad Boys since the Silverdome era
English

@samueljrob I’m simply saying that just cuz you’re from Detroit doesn’t mean you should know the stones nickname. People in Detroit who actually follow the Pistons closely have heard it. Same with the suburbs
English

@PistonStandard I’m not saying no one called them the stones. That’s not my suggestion. You’re misunderstanding my original post.
English

I’m from the city and I’ve never heard the name Marcus Sasser before. That must be a name the outsiders talk about.
#DetroitBasketball
English

@SarksDaddy Nah we see Luka flops and Bron too. SGA just the worst offender in the league. Then we gotta see his teammates start to follow suit. Why was Chet acting like he got hit in the face yesterday when he didn’t even get touched?
English

@astoldbyash__ Do you know who Luigi Datome or Carlos Delfino is?
English

@samueljrob Anyone who knows who Luigi Datome is knew the Pistons have been called the stones. Anyone who remembers Carlos Delfino knew they were called the stones. Living in Detroit doesn’t mean you know the Pistons or have the final say on the Pistons
English

@samueljrob Native Detroiters that really follow the Pistons knew they’ve been called the stones. Just the casual fans in Detroit feel like it doesn’t count cuz they didn’t know…but you have to follow the team for real to know, not just have a Detroit address.
English

@TerrellCamp03 @cunningdaddy @SeymourDunkin @Ydkb_RT @DamienPetersNBA He still flopped he didn’t have to lose control of the ball he did all that to make the ref call it. You’d never see Cade pull that shit. Never. That little touch on his arm didn’t make him lose balance, lose the ball and throw his head back. The flop did
English

@PistonStandard @cunningdaddy @SeymourDunkin @Ydkb_RT @DamienPetersNBA He didn’t flop his arm was grabbed 🤣🤣🤣🤣
English

@PaulTweetsRIP I mean, there’s God. That’s maybe a good comp
English

@TerrellCamp03 @cunningdaddy @SeymourDunkin @Ydkb_RT @DamienPetersNBA Even your biased ass knows Cade would never do that. Holy shit I am laughing my ass off right now
English

@TerrellCamp03 @cunningdaddy @SeymourDunkin @Ydkb_RT @DamienPetersNBA NEVER see Cade act like that and throw his head back and lose the ball on purpose to try to force the ref to call
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
that shit was so obvious and such a flop move
English

@Demeter_Erinia @borisyeltzin MJ was that big. Thriller was that good But if you want to hear an unassailable album from that time that wasn’t MJ, listen to to Sade “Diamond Life”
English

@Pistons__Talk @awfulannouncing Since it’s awful announcing rankings is it better to be lower?
English

@Pistons__Talk @awfulannouncing Should be A+ Blaha is a legend and Special K is one of the smoothest color commentators in sports

@AyoCHELSSSSS Pistons got more fans outside Detroit than they do in Detroit…the Pistons themselves were in the suburbs from 1978 - 2017, so why does it matter if you are from Detroit and didn’t know what they were called?
English

@AyoCHELSSSSS Just cuz you’re from Detroit doesn’t mean you talk Pistons. Like not everybody who lives in Detroit is up on the Pistons. What is Cheli’s chili bar called now?
English

Just proof that Michigan and Detroit are not in one accord lol. Never heard this in my life.
Eric Lloyd@EricLloyd
I just can't understand how anybody from Michigan is confused by this. The Stones is very much a thing and has been for a long time. They are just good again now so people are talking about them more.
English

@oklahowa OKC is terrible for the game. Nobody wants to watch them. If it was Lakers v Portland it would get even more views. OKC flops and accentuates contact. They are actors, straight up. Doing theatrics like no other team ever.
English

@TYDyetheFly @Nick_Laidler_14 In fairness the Pistons weren’t from Detroit either during their time at the Silverdome and Palace. So why are people from the city more important in determining if it was a thing or not?
English

@Nick_Laidler_14 Why do y'all keep calling it gatekeeping simply because I'm saying I've never heard anybody from within the city or even the metro area call them the stones?
Like look through the comments and quotes and see all the people who say they've never heard it and where they're from
English

Born and raised in Detroit.
I'm almost 36
Never heard that shit.
Beginning to think this is an "outside Detroit" thing, because we have never called them that.
