@matthew161320 @CatholicSOTC The Popes official acts will never contradict tradition. In fact he is the one the infallibly tells us what tradition is. He truly is the Vicar of Christ. The pope represents the church and we compare doctrines, worldly teachings with what he teaches.

The Pope’s official acts in canon law and governance are not absolutely binding. If a directive conflicts with Christ, Sacred Scripture, Apostolic Tradition, or divine law, the faithful are not bound to obey — and in serious cases have a duty to resist. This is not a new idea. Saints like St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Robert Bellarmine taught that a pope can be lawfully resisted when he commands something harmful to the faith. The Holy Spirit protects the Church from definitive error in ex cathedra definitions of faith and morals, but does not guarantee that every papal decision, disciplinary law, or interpretation of canon law will be prudent or correct. Popes are not impeccable. Faithful Catholics have the right and sometimes the duty to refuse obedience when papal authority is used contrary to the unchanging deposit of faith. Blind obedience that harms souls or Tradition is not true fidelity to the Church.

Amid America’s Collapse of Faith, This Catholic Academy Is Raising Warriors While churches close and belief fades, one small Catholic boarding school in rural Pennsylvania is doing the unthinkable—growing. Rooted in tradition, discipline, and the Latin Mass, St. Louis de Montfort Academy is forming a new generation of young men prepared to stand firm as the culture collapses. What’s happening inside this quiet countercurrent may surprise you. remnantnewspaper.com/amid-americas-…

Bishop Schneider said that any excommunication imposed on the Society of Saint Pius X over its planned episcopal consecrations would not be valid under canon law.

The artificial introduction of the Luminous Mysteries is quite a good illustration of the two mentalities which divide the Church. On the one hand, we have a practice which is connected both to the reciting of 150 psalms and to the vision of St Dominic. It has evolved with the addition of the petition, and following fatima, the common but optional practice of addiing the Fatima prayer. But the basic structure of 150 hail Marys, divided into 15 mysteries divided into a trinity of joyful, sorrowful and glorious which so well reflect the experience of Catholic life remained unchanged for seven centuries. On the other, you have the guys who always think they've got a better idea. So out goes the connection with the psalms, out goes the rosary hallowed by Marian revelation, and in comes a set of no doubt worthy meditations, designed by enthusiasts to make sense of the gap in Jesus' ministry perceived in the original mysteries. Of course the Pope who introduced them beatified the man who thought them up. Of course they are optional. But somehow, one more aspect of the old faith has been pushed out of the doorway, and one more division of the church ushered in.

@Popesplainerman @CatholicSOTC An excommunication is valid if the pope (supreme legislator) says it's valid. Certain conditions must be met, and in this case they have been. BUT - if Leo is NOT a valid pope, then he has no jurisdiction, no authority to excommunicate. #SSPX

@matthew161320 @CatholicSOTC The popes official position on canon law is binding. Your statement that he can’t arbitrarily interpret law is retarded. It’s the Holy Spirit that prevents that. No person can impede the holy father in the official exercise of his office.

The Pope cannot arbitrarily interpret Canon Law contrary to its own hermeneutical principles (CIC c. 17), as his authority is exercised in fidelity to Christ, Tradition, and the Church's good; while faithful must give religious submission (c. 752), they are never bound to obey what contradicts divine/revealed law.

Pourquoi choisissent-ils cette voie ? Que signifie réellement porter la soutane aujourd’hui ? Découvrez le sens profond d’un engagement total, au service de Dieu et des âmes. #fsspx #sspx #vocation #catholique #traditional #tradition #foi #eglisecatholique 🎥 Video : Siebe van Gaever | SyncID : MB01KSQ5SGVO4EN

@Popesplainerman @McBrideLawNYC How many times does Rome have to remind you self appointed lay Grand Inquisitors that one may fulfill one’s Mass obligations at an SSPX chapel and even contribute financially to it

The SSPX Easter Vigil was absolutely beautiful. The Blessing of the Holy Fire. 🔥 The procession into the dark church that was slowly illuminated one candle after another. The liturgy sung via Gregorian Chant. The Litany of the Saints. The 12:00 AM Mass. 4 hours of reading scripture and singing. Militant. Catholic. Ancient. Beautiful. I AM ENERGIZED & PROUD TO BE CATHOLIC.
