Tem um glamour estúpido sendo vendido por aí sobre a figura do "CEO". Deixa eu te falar sobre o mundo real das empresas pequenas e médias, pode ser? Assim esse glamour some logo.
Ser o dono é você estar, por exemplo, discutindo um planejamento tributário complexo com seu advogado às 9h da manhã, e às 11h30 estar abaixado debaixo da mesa tentando arrumar o cabo de rede que a faxineira esbarrou, porque a operação inteira parou e o TI terceirizado sumiu. Não existe essa utopia de delegar tudo e focar só no estratégico. No fim do dia, você é o cara que apaga o incêndio que ninguém mais sabe, ou não tem coragem de apagar. Até tenta delegar, mas no final, vai ficar aquela ponta pra resolver você mesmo.
O glamour de ser empresário dura exatamente os 5 minutos que você gasta explicando o que faz num jantar de amigos. Nas outras 23 horas e 55 minutos, você é o zelador de luxo de uma bomba-relógio.

oi vica, my wife is brazilian and my cmo is brazilian and i love brazilians. leaving on sunday to spend a month there.
but there is an undeniable thing called the “brazilian way” which is basically taking care of friends and family at the expense of others.
this value at scale leads to massive corruption and while you’re right that it’s not isolated to brazzos, it is a real thing there.
whether or not it’s a small group of bad actors or not idk. i know that they are insanely smart operators and i respect that. but i know that they are having an outsized impact on ad auctions and literally anyone who is doing media buying in health at scale has been affected and shares my sentiment.
it’s fucking annoying to be play a game you love, generally by the rules, then get fucked bc someone else is willing to rip up the rules (and not just at the expense of competitors, but of customers too).
worst of all is that meta, outbrain taboola all let it rip because they are making so much money too.
it is what it is. anyone who has surfed with brazzos has experienced the same thing in lineups. my buddy Alan from SP is the nicest guy in the world, full of love and good energy, but he will burn you and he doesn’t care if it’s your turn or not.
i think it’s part and parcel with the culture, there is a hunger there and idk its roots. @Markmanson wrote an amazing post about this awhile back.

This take is way off. First, you’re cherry-picking a tiny fraction of bad actors and trying to paint it as “what Brazilians are doing.” That’s not reality — it’s just sensationalism. Second, fraud isn’t a “Brazilian strategy.” Scammers exist everywhere, including in the US. The difference is simply where you’re choosing to look. Third, the idea that people operate freely “because the FTC has no jurisdiction” is naive. Cross-border enforcement absolutely happens — through cooperation with local authorities, platforms, and payment processors. Accounts get banned, funds get frozen, and people get prosecuted. And lastly, hitting 1M views/day with VSLs has nothing to do with scams. Plenty of legitimate marketers are doing that with solid creatives, good funnels, and real products. Blaming an entire country instead of calling out specific illegal behavior just makes your argument weak.
