MY OPINION: There was a plan to dismember and partially privatize NOAA and the National Weather Service in 1995. It was a bad idea then, and weakening those critical public-safety agencies is a worse idea now. More at bit.ly/4ioxHqu

An Air Force C130 Hurricane Hunter just completed a flight over Northeast Pacific (part of NWS NOAA NWSOP/AR Recon) sampling upstream atmospheric conditions that will contribute to the severe and high-impact weather over the central and eastern U.S. this week.
