I tend to the "No" side. The US government is dutybound to represent ALL Americans, of whatever race or religion. The foundational doctrine of the separation of church and state points in the direction of a strong "No." I believe that the Statue of Christ in Brazil is on land owned by the Roman Catholic Church and was erected and paid for by the Church. I believe that that's the right way to advance the Gospel of Christ.
