4 wks into @recyclingalt takeover of multi-unit @RecycleBC collection contract from @WasteManagement for #Vancouver penninsula & Broadway Plan area. RA's suffered lack of trucks & min. help from WM in handover. Many Fairview binsets not collected for 4 wks! Good luck this wk RA!

Roses are red, wrappers are recyclable (Unless it's CELLOPHANE). After Valentine's Day this year, do the Scrunch 'n' Sort when sorting recyclables into your Flexible Plastics depot drop-off materials (or pink cart/curbside box for communities where applicable)!

@sqwabb @RecycleBC @RecycleBC I don't mind Jumping on board with this... BUT I need some assurance that after us doing the work, the work will continue and these will in fact be properly dealt with. Not sent to an even worse polluter than us or seconded to landfill (as previous expose's suggest)

1/2 - #Vancouver Fairview tenants are confused & complaining to me about the new recycling bin for "Flexible Plastic". 1st, the bin is pink, while all other @RecycleBC bins have - for 30 yrs - been blue. And what does & doesn't go in the bin is categorically confusing.

True or False? You don’t need to rinse food containers before recycling them. ❌ FALSE! Rinsing matters! Clean containers can help reduce contamination which is a main factor into a high recycling rate ✅ Give containers a rinse- just enough to get any chunks of food residue off
