When it comes to social interactions, is more really merrier? According to my recent work, the answer is "no!" Findings from two studies suggest that people feel less close after group (vs. dyadic) interactions for both FtF and video chats. Come learn more at my @SPSPnews poster!

It's been a privilege to work closely with the amazing @jholtlunstad to develop the project. Special shout outs to my student @daisibrand for absolutely crushing it with her first (!) first-author paper here, and to my student Michael Harvey for his machine-learning stats wizardy

#SPSP2023 was great! It was fun connecting with @KnoxCollege1837 and @NorthwesternU friends. I really appreciated meeting old twitter/zoom friends IRL and new faculty/grads/post doc friends. Also I have to give a special shout-out to #BLASPR for such an inspiring event ✊🏾.

Have you wondered who is more likely to ghost? In a new paper in @JoSoPerRel w/ co-first author @NatashaRWood, @RelationScience & Andrew Hale, we found that young adults with a high need for closure may be more likely to use ghosting, but they also hurt worse after being ghosted!
UGA@universityofga
Odds are that you are someone you know has been ghosted before - quite a haunting experience! @ugapsychology doctoral student Christina Leckfor is studying the emotional impact of ghosting and what causes someone to ghost. 👻 t.uga.edu/8Pq #ValentinesDay
