President Trump said he asked Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu “what the fu*k are you doing?” on a call after the Israeli strikes against Beirut. He told Netanyahu not to conduct additional strikes. She was named in a 2009 email from publicist Peggy Siegal to Jeffrey Epstein about an afterparty at Ghislaine Maxwell’s NYC townhouse after a screening of her film Amelia. How did the two even know each other? Presumably because they had been friends (or more) for a long time. Mira started with low-budget docs in the 80s, founded Mirabai Films in 1989, and hit big with Monsoon Wedding in 2001 (over $30M worldwide). Her net worth is estimated between $5M and $22M now, built fast through indie hits, grants, and Hollywood gigs like Queen of Katwe. Questions linger about whether connections like Epstein’s network helped with funding and opening doors for her in the 90s.
