The people of the Twin Cities are being honored with the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award — recognizing the Minnesotans who helped neighbors, supported families, and marched 50,000 strong. In memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good, and for all those who stood up.

Wisconsin JUST signed postpartum healthcare for new moms into law. Republicans blocked it for seven years. Remember that the next time they say they’re pro-life.

The maximum an individual can legally donate to a candidate in an election is $3300. Elon donated $277M to Trump in 2024 because of loopholes rich people use to buy elections. If you care about election integrity — overturn Citizens United so our elections aren’t auctions.

GOP Senator HUMILIATED and SILENCED for not knowing his SAVE Act BLOCKS voting for more than HALF of America. This was absolutely beautiful. Texas Senator Cornyn, tried walking into a committee meeting smug about the SAVE Act, thinking he would nail Democrats for not wanting to "save voting". It didn't go well. Senator Durbin ripped him a new one on live TV -- Cornyn: So I don't understand how it could disenfranchise millions of Americans. Senator Durbin, maybe you could explain. Durbin: I'm happy to. You have to present identification. But your driver's license, which most people use in the course of business every single day, is not acceptable. What is acceptable is a passport. 50% of Americans DO NOT HAVE a passport. Those who want to obtain it so they can vote will pay $186 and wait three or four weeks for that to happen. It's a poll tax. Secondly, you can use a birth certificate. But any person who has changed their name as a result of a marriage or a hyphenate relationship has to find not only their birth certificate but some correction of it to prove that they're eligible and registered to vote. That's 9% of the voters in America right there who do not have the identification required by this bill. It means ultimately that those people will NOT be voting. And stopping Americans from voting is the ultimate goal of your "SAVE ACT. " I thank you for that question because I think ALL AMERICANS should be aware of the fact of what is required by this act. VIA~~~~US Democratic Socialists.

Everyone should watch and share this video of Democratic Senator Dick Durbin destroying Republicans for trying to make it harder to register to vote in November’s election. This is brutal.

This exchange just happened on the Senate floor. Cornyn: “I don’t understand how the SAVE Act disenfranchises voters.” Durbin: “Happy to explain. Driver’s licenses don’t qualify under the bill. 50% of Americans don’t have passports.” Cornyn: “Why not just amend it?” Durbin: “When’s the last time the Senate actually amended a bill?” Silence. The SAVE Act requires passport-level documentation to register to vote. 50% of Americans don’t have a passport. The people least likely to have passports: the elderly, the poor, rural Americans, young first-time voters. The people most likely to have passports: wealthy Americans. This is not voter protection. This is voter selection. And when a senator suggested fixing it — his own colleague couldn’t name the last time the Senate amended anything. That’s the Senate in 2026.
