"If we can't think for ourselves, if we're unwilling to question authority, then we're just putty in the hands of those in power. But if the citizens are educated and form their own opinions, then those in power work for us." -Carl Sagan #Democracy #freedom #American #Patriot

@maziehirono @SecWar Another abysmal decision by @SecWar. If he only knew a shred of military history (e.g., during the American Revolution, smallpox ravaged the Continental Army), he’d know that a healthy soldiery meant the difference between winning and losing. (Washington knew…) @PeteHegseth

Pete Hegseth is no longer requiring flu vaccines for troops. Another thing to add to the looooooong list of decisions @SecWar has taken that put our servicemembers at unnecessary risk. The flu vaccine requirement is gone from the DoD — I think Pete Hegseth should follow suit.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced the Department of Defense will no longer require U.S. service members to get the flu shot each year, calling the requirement “overly broad and not rational.”

BREAKING: Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth announced the military is ending a longstanding policy that required all service members get the flu shot. In a video posted to X on Tuesday, Hegseth called the new policy a move to "restore freedom and strength" to U.S. forces. He criticized the previous mandate as "overly broad and not rational." bit.ly/4u0Sy9g 📸: Alex Wong/Getty Images

@GneissName @MiaDelcato @FoxNews What I’ve said isn’t penetrating. It’s obtuse that you won’t accept or acknowledge that I approach things differently. (I don’t have a social media persona.) My time is valuable and too much has already been wasted. Have a good rest of your day.

Young men are RETURNING to religion. 42% of men under 30 now say religion is “very important” to them, a big jump from 28% in 2023, according to a new Gallup poll. At the same time, young women are moving in the opposite direction, with just 30% saying the same. The resurgence is playing out in the pews, too, with church attendance ticking back up among young men, especially in Republican circles. Meanwhile, young Democratic men are showing a DROP in church attendance over the last 20+ years, according to the polling data. In 2000, 40% of Democratic men reported church attendance, compared to just 26% now.

@GneissName @MiaDelcato @FoxNews Here’s the difference between you and me: I accept that “it depends” is a valid answer, and if I don’t know an answer, I’ll say that I don’t know. To me, your question is not one of opinion. I — me, myself — would refer to the law. I’m sorry this is unacceptable to you.

@RightToQuery @MiaDelcato @FoxNews You weren't clear. Plus it was furthering of the inquiry. If there is incitement, should everyone be held 100%accountable for their response regardless of the mob mentality generated by the incitement?

@GneissName @MiaDelcato @FoxNews Without context for the reason for a riot, I cannot give a yes or no answer to your question. In cases of oppression, inciting a riot serves a purpose, e.g., the ghetto uprisings during WWII. However, inciting a riot after a soccer game is pure violence and without purpose.

@GneissName @MiaDelcato @FoxNews Are you asking in the context of protests, or are you separating the two? And what’s your definition of a riot? For example, is a riot simply an act of violence or can a riot also be an act of defense? Similar question with respect to the definition of incitement… Example?

@GneissName @MiaDelcato @FoxNews Call me insane — after all, I know you have a penchant for making such capricious diagnoses at a distance — but I don’t condone any violent protests, left or right. See how easy that is?

Reporter: Do you think it’s appropriate for King George to meet with members? Boebert: I wouldn’t meet with him. Reporter: Why not? Boebert: 1776. I have nothing to do with King George or the royal family. I am an American first.
