Upon reaching max level on the Ringside Pass (took hours upon hours of grinding) I gotta say it's insane I spent $150 on the Monday Night War Edition and I still had to grind (or spend MORE money) to unlock items that were free last year. I know that major manufacturers have basically abandoned the True Portable form factor in favor of Pseudo Portables like the Switch/Deck, but I would really love to see what modern technical standards could squeeze into a body of this size.

@PalmyrPar I don’t see Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft going after this market. To support it would require dedicated teams making games for such low powered hardware. In terms of Valve / ASUS a lot of steam games / PC games would require specific optimisation and patches to run in that form

A lot of people are misunderstanding - I KNOW such devices still exist. The purpose in me pointing specifically to MAJOR manufacturers is that they have engineering, design, and procurement that can do everything minor-medium companies do, but significantly smaller and better.

@DoomAssistMe Sell The system on ports and switch 2 editions is all they have. Maybe throw in some Mario kart dlc. I’m always disappointed in them and I think this year is just going to get worse for Nintendo.

@Stealth40k I think we will get the upgrade pack with two new character passes sold seperate. Upgrade pack will have performance enhancements and a new mode potentially some new “Nintendo levels”. Then two more DLC waves a mix of Nintendo and third party characters all with new levels

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is currently #1 on the Switch eShop. What Nintendo does with Smash Bros. on Switch 2 is perhaps the biggest unanswered question so far.

@AnAverageGamerX I think the lack of a free resolution performance update indicates this. They can sell a 9.99 upgrade with a new mode for switch 2 and then make two more character passes and make even more millions.

There's a strong possibility we honestly get Ultimate Switch 2 Edition, IMO
