Even if a version of a game is inferior to all other versions on a technical level, if it’s the only version that’s fully playable offline, in my eyes that’s the superior version. For example I avoided Jedi Survivor on PS5 because it required internet and bought PS4 version.

@Chris_TV_Live @MetroidFREAK21 It happened to my copy, but it works fine. As far as I notice, the cracks are just in the label ink and the data layer is intact.

@MetroidFREAK21 There are a few games that are known to have this issue on GameCube. From what I understand GameCube games used a kind of paint for the label instead of a sticker. Certain games such as Twin Snakes and Skies of Arcadia have this issue due to poor quality from the factory iirc.

Nothing lasts forever... but idk what it is, but this game seems to decay faster than any GameCube game I've seen. I always see these discs in rough shape. I don't get why this is so common to The Twin Snakes

Not my original pic, but this is what my copy of Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes looks like. Totally unplayable due to no fault other than time If not for ROM/ISO dumps these games will be lost to time Physical discs don't guarantee preservation. PC is the only solution
