📢 Happening Today! The Zimbabwe Council of Churches, alongside @ChristianAid, @Zimcodd, @ActionAid, and @WILSA, is hosting the Church-CSO Post-FfD4 Reflection Meeting. This critical gathering builds on Zimbabwe’s participation at the FfD4 Conference in Seville, aiming to localize the Compromiso de Sevilla and align global commitments with national development priorities. Key stakeholders, including government ministries, CSOs, faith actors, the private sector, and development partners, are coming together to co-create a national roadmap for financing justice, tax reform, climate finance, and inclusive economic recovery. We are deeply shocked and saddened by the recent incident involving the sexual assault of a 13-year-old Grade 7 learner at Rezende Parkade rank in Harare. This tragic event is a grave violation of the child's rights and dignity, and it highlights the urgent need for increased awareness, prevention, and protection measures in public spaces, especially within commuter ranks where many vulnerable children and community members frequent. #HerVoice

Yesterday, @zccinzim held a prayer session at Manyame Bridge in Chitungwiza (site of the recent tragic accident that killed 17 people), where hundreds from Local Ecumenical Fellowships gathered to seek divine intervention for safer roads. As road carnage continues to claim innocent lives, the event aimed to seek divine intervention for the protection of all road users and a reduction in road traffic accidents. The Church reaffirms its commitment to prayer, advocacy, and national engagement to address the road safety crisis. @InfoMinZW @HeraldZimbabwe @StarfmZimbabwe @DailyNewsZim @NewsDayZimbabwe
