Last year, the 49ers drafted an Ole Miss wide receiver with 4.37 speed who runs poor routes in Round 4 and didn't play him. This year, after taking a long look at their drafting process, they drafted an Ole Miss wide receiver with 4.36 speed who runs poor routes in Round 2.

The player isn’t the problem, the spot is. The Niners could have easily had a combo of Bisantis and Stribling, EMW and Stribling, or Zion or Howell and Stribling. There’s your way too early 49ers draft pick and it’s probably not going to be the last this weekend.

Neither are Daniels, Darnold, or Mayfield. And it’s a bit too early to say Maye is more than a one-hit wonder. By the way, we are now entering year 7 of pretending Justin Herbert is an all-star, despite clear evidence he doesn’t know how to win in the post season. Unless we are talking about hair, Purdy is better at quarterbacking in the NFL than Herbert, and it ain’t close.

Greg Papa’s encouraging medical update from earlier today 🙏 “Papa, 63, took another step in his cancer journey when he underwent a bone marrow transplant at UCSF Medical Center on Wednesday with his younger sister, Judy, serving as his donor. Papa is in remission after he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in July, and a successful transplant will significantly reduce his chances of relapsing. After checking in to UCSF on Feb. 25, Papa is expected to remain in isolation at the hospital until late March because his immune system is unable to fight infections. He will then return home and remain in a bubble environment for about three to six months. Papa expects to return to his KNBR midday talk show during his home confinement and has expressed optimism that he’ll be attending 49ers training-camp practices this summer.” via: @Eric_Branch
