
Yes, there is no reasonable expectation of privacy in a fast food restaurant, but that’s not the only element of the right to film or record. In order to have a “right” to film, you must be in a place where those rights are protected. There is no “right” to film while standing INSIDE a private business. Filming inside would be a privilege that can be revoked any time by the property owner or their agent.
The manager told her to stop filming (though didn’t eject her when she refused). Her response, “I can film in here,” was incorrect.
