@MarkMcI86 @dkb12316528 @necky_fade Tiger was more dominant compared to the field, won far more money, had a greater impact, won more tournaments, was #1 FAR longer (not close) and played in the modern era so can directly compare to today's players. People who played with both will tell you it's Tiger all day.
English

@MarkMcI86 @dkb12316528 @necky_fade Look I don't even like Tiger personally...I think he's a douchebag....but as a player? There is nobody close to him for his impact on the popularity of the game and for the shots he could hit, his all around ability. He is the GOAT. 90% of people recognize that.
English

@MarkMcI86 @dkb12316528 @necky_fade Jack won more majors but Tiger won more tournaments, had more weeks as #1 by far, greater separation from the rest of the field by far and played against better athletes/broader field. He popularized the game more than anyone....it's really not close who had a greater impact.
English

@Masterflip_ Leiper has been dreadful. If this isn't addressed it will cost us another game. Already cost us one.
English

The third base coach has had some weird holds tonight. First Robert in the first, now Benge. Those are balls they should score easily on SMH #LGM
English

@dkb12316528 @MarkMcI86 @necky_fade To say Tiger is overrated as a golfer just establishes your ignorance about the game in an indelible manner...might as well etch it in stone. There is no way to overrate him as a golfer. Not a great human being of course but the GOAT on a golf course, impact 10X any other player
English

@SGSafran @MarkMcI86 @necky_fade Tiger was highly overrated. I liked him personally despite the insane media hype … but the fawning media made it tough.
English

@BP2221077146446 @necky_fade Agree with all that but if they went back to balata and blades, persimmon it would have helped Tiger against the field back in his peak days. His ball striking, short game, putting and club head speed would have separated him further from the other players.
English

@SGSafran @necky_fade Because the technology; clubs and balls, have been better in the last 20 years. Also there are better travel options today than back in Jack's Era, where most pros traveled via cars.
English

@paulloduca16 @Ben_Yoel I think it's a bit early to declare that Alvi "will never be an all star." He hit's 30 HR, bats .270+ and he's in that mix. Those are definitely possible numbers for him.
English

@Ben_Yoel I love Alvi…not remotely close? Wow Ben. When he hits over .300 3 times in his career and goes to ONE all-star game ( which will never happen ) and actually learns how to run a staff, come back to me man. He has potential but don’t go there.
English

@metsnewsletter What do you think, like J.D. gave him like a hand job and a pep talk at the same time? Let's get real here.
English

@metsnewsletter Hardly. Keep dreaming. Let's revisit this at the end of the season. (Most of us have already figured out Mets lost this trade big time but some people are slower than others.)
English

@dkb12316528 @necky_fade Right. What's your handicap? Mine's been as low as a 2 and I've been playing for 30+ years. I know enough to know that Tiger hit shots nobody else could dream of and was #1 longer than anybody else....won more tournaments than anybody else too (82 tied with Snead).
English

@LGMjad @BatyIsKing_ I gave up on him by the end of last season. He's declined for a while and is soon 36. That's it. Done.
English

@SGSafran @BatyIsKing_ How do you say you’ve given up on him after a week and then say talk in a few months
English

@Hunter___Bear @necky_fade No...he would not. The guy was light years ahead of everybody else. He'd still have the distance, the short game, the clutch putting, the attitude, the swag, the confidence. All of it. I don't like the guy personally but he was Jordan/Ali/Gretzky great.
English

@SGSafran @necky_fade By your rationale, Tiger would just be another player now too.
English

@Hunter___Bear @necky_fade There's really no way to know but the pool of golfers is much greater, with more money more international players, bigger guys, better athletes drawn to the sport because of money/popularity. It's all conjecture. I think Tiger was the greatest ever when at his best. Many do.
English

@SGSafran @necky_fade The point is if Jack came up in the same time as modern players with the Sam benefits of coaching, tech, training, nutrition, medicine, equipment, he’d be able to do the same things. Guys like him have intangibles that can’t be taught. An X-factor, a clutch gene.
English

@SteveSchmidtSES She's a rude, condescending moron who was gifted the position by Trump after kissing his ass. Now like all the other bimbo ass kissers she gets tossed under the bus. Does she have a shred of dignity? At least MTG fought back...an iota of respect for that.

@historigins Movies mattered back then. Cinema was already starting to die when the pandemic drove a stake through its heart. Hollywood is becoming irrelevant. People bought pandemic pups and now they sit home on their couch with them watching the Sopranos. Nobody cares about Oscars anymore
