Claude Opus 4.6 is a virtually flawless software engineer. Previously, where I had to provide constant correction (hey, we're using ES modules, not CommonJS), Opus 4.6 determines the best approach itself and checks its work, delivering error-free solutions in one shot. Stories that would have been pointed one day now take 10 minutes. Epics that previously required weeks of developer resources now take 12 hours. Last week I required some tooling in the form of a browser extension and a pair of plugins. Searching existing repos yielded nothing. What about the new kid over there? After providing requirements, Opus 4.6 created each in about 10 minutes. We are at the point where we can 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 create anything we need, in minutes.

I would have expected the market to start discerning between SaaS that is impacted by AI, SaaS that needs to evolve, and SaaS that benefits from AI. Analytical SaaS, Creative SaaS is in category 1, System or Record, Human workflow and Engagement and Productivity are in category 2 and Infrastructure SaaS and Cybersecurity are in 3. This constant paranoid reaction of the market will continue to create buying opportunities for the discerning.

Fwiw i've done LSD ~100 times, with prob around 40 of those doses quite high, and didn't seem to have any shift in my predictive beliefs. My guess is there's some latent thing in some people's mind that is prone to belief shifting, and psychedelics activate this if they already have it

People upset about Virginia not realizing that this is coming to all states. Your precious "ma state bleeds red" is temporary. Conservatism is dead. There is no unity among conservatism. Shit majority of them worship the Trump administration still. Your state will flip because your enemies are working harder than you.

One of my best friends from Michigan talked so much smack before this game. "You're going to learn about Michigan football," and so forth. It was incessant. But during the game I kept getting panicky texts asking, "Who is this guy??" I thought, how do you not know about Vince Young? But the truth is that the press hated Texas back then, never giving us any credit. Keith Jackson started the game by telling Rose Bowl fans they should take a nap because the game didn't feature a Pac 10 team. It's not like today with Texas in the SEC, where we're the darlings of the press with Arch Manning. Different times.

Lol. 🙂 But I believe it will be the unifying theory over time, or close to it. We are 0/6, even though we are growing geometrically right now (for different reasons). Eventually the regime you describe will catch up, which will require reinvention or something else. We'll see. Analyzing our possible futures through the prism of your piece was a great exercise.
