I just looked into this and already under VWP (Visa Waiver Program) since 1988, Japanese citizens can visit the United States for business or tourism for up to 90 days without a visa! All they need to do is a quick ESTA electronic approval which is usually approved within minutes! Japanese friends - please visit us for our 250th!!!
