@HighHeelEsquire She is THIRTEEN. If she was 16 or 17, yes this would be crazy overbearing. What are they doing at just 13 they don’t want the mom to see? She’s too young to be totally unsupervised. I don’t think this is too much at all. They’re babies.

@werewolfshauna Yup. People are missing the point that stupid girl fight BS is life threatening in that environment. I think Tai or Nat even lampshades it in early S3. I do think Laura Lee would've got Jackie or Shauna tho had she lived & either slept outside.

realistically jackie would’ve let shauna sleep outside had th roles been reversed because its not like anyone knew jackie was going to DIE😭 its like the equivalent of making ur gf sleep on the sofa for a night cuz ur mad yk. Like jackie was stubborn and spiteful too !!!!

I could not agree more. There are many that span the whole nation & regional ones like Appalachian lore, Lovecraft country's cosmic horror, southern gothic's bayous or decrepit plantations, the aliens/cryptids in the northwest & southwest, etc.

@Ancapta This is why a lot of my upper level science students struggle with experimental design. They can memorize foundational knowledge & how stats work but struggle when applying that to their experiments, interpreting data, &/or writing formal results.

@SirenofScience @thhouseofblack Jaime says that jousting mostly relies on being an excellent horseback rider because he is assuming the person doing the jousting is of the appropriate size and strength to wield a 14 foot lance in full plate armor without much trouble.

@squrtyl4 Tbf, canonically she is also impulsive (wolf's blood) & has a romantic streak (acting as an ideal knight for Howland & crying over sad music). Lyanna is still a teenager & they can be wise one day & foolish the next.

The way people were saying that the barn scene in The Bone Temple is so brutal and "goes too far" kinda concerns me because I didn't think it was that bad, so it makes me worried that I'm horribly desensitized

@westerosies It is. I teared up when Vhagar took out Meleys for a few reasons. One of them was thinking of the fun times the 2 dragons would've had together when ridden by Baelon & Alyssa or by Laena & Rhaenys.

@Zeeeeee______ @VioletFlame23 Sansa starts as a book smart not street smart type. She eventually becomes more aware though: realizing people only want to marry her for her claim to Winterfell, that Loras will kill Joff once he hurts Marg, that LF is not her ally truly, etc.

@VioletFlame23 I read those books so many times and don't remember thinking Sansa was smart... guess it's time for another read.
Bran and Arya are much smarter in the show than in the book, where they're a lot younger.

This also ties into one of my complaints about the show: It takes book characters who were at least moderately intelligent, but inexperienced, out of their depth, or surrounded by smarter people (early Sansa, Edmure Tully, Mace Tyrell) and portrays them as complete morons

1. None of the women in the series were trained from childhood to "build an efficient spy network" 2. Sansa *was* taught geopolitics and history! In the novels, Sansa was always portrayed as extremely book smart, just naive (Yes, I know the show just made her a total airhead)

@goldhowler @jemsgreatsin I think there were some female Starks that married Vale Lords (Cat references them at 1 point) but I also think the southron theory is true. Rickard was looking at Lords Paramount for fostering or marriage, not just any lords below the neck.

the only reason margaery is more politically skilled than sansa despite being close in age is because the tyrells were playing the long game of thrones. the starks kept to their business until robert knocked on their door hence why sansa didn’t need to be taught scheming&plotting

i genuinely go crazy for morally ambiguous, witchy female characters with prophetic visions, a complex relationship with religion, possessions and a madness that is consuming them slowly but surely. the #best character trope ever, they will always be my favourites

@GsusChriste @ABigRoundBoy @sami_abdt Yes & I always thought it was because Cat's mom died & she became the acting Lady Tully. She was responsible for things her mother would've handled had she lived & Sansa does something similar in the Vale after Lysa's death.

@ABigRoundBoy @sami_abdt Sansa is naive in Kings Landing because no-one views her as more than a pawn, and so they keep her in the dark. Margery has her family, Sansa doesn’t. If I remember correctly Cat was firstborn, so Hoster confided in her before Edmure was born, which isn’t the case for Sansa.

@thhouseofblack His "there must be one more" comment in Danys vision suggests Rhaegar saw all his children as prophecy babies. I think he believed he needed 3 kids for prophetic reasons & Jon was the final piece to complete his 3 headed dragon. Agreed that aegon was who he thought tptwp was tho.
