@xpinkrosehimex You know every Playstation Xbox are essentially pcs. Same hardware etc. They should stop cockblocking developers and unify the Base so that we can benefit of everything available on anything. Save so much time for developers trying to work out each platforms glitches

@DeepHumor Why? About time everything goes digital. Toughest thing to do is not flip out after standing 2 hours in line at dmv and seeing another queen/king of a sewer invent own rules and send you home. And those sloths are literally in competition of who can type and move slower.

@GingersnapsTM @SirDanofC Their parents destroyed most of it after 2 world wars. Boomers were 40% of population. Imagine competition they had when graduating from anything Millennial and gen x enjoyed all very much. Then came gen z refused to work and flipped all upside down. Cant decide what woman is.

@Splitown @SirDanofC Boomer's trying to take credit for the world their parents built while telling everyone who came after to suck it up will never not be laughably infuriating.

Ive owned 3 houses. I’m 45. I’ve observed all generations. Prospects for my kids are fucked. Yes it’s the government policies of the past thirty years but frankly the boomer attitude of "pull your socks up" ain’t going to cut it anymore. The entire system needs an overhaul
Cec Podd@CecPodd

@SirDanofC Maybe your property aspirations are higher than ours were? And, today's MW wage adjusted for inflation is t.w.i.c.e as much as l started on, £200 v £400. I do feel for today's young, l've 3 kids in their 20's, but is it a worse work environment than what l entered, late 70's?

Communism is “everyone poor and living in misery." That's CIA Western propaganda. Real communism lifts billions out of poverty, builds modern societies, speed trains, safety and delivers dignity, prosperity for the working class.

If you tell them walkable cities exist without parking lots everywhere they think it’s fake. Or they think it’s scary. Walking to a grocery store LITERALLY scares and confuses them. I’m not kidding
shanky shah@shankysanghi

@zapatas_mom I find Americans always doubt when something sounds too good. Like you tell them. "Imagine living in a city. Where you can just walk to a shop, gym and cafe etc within 15 mins" They be like. "This must be a scam. You probably want to control my freedom" 😂😂

Had drinks with 30 CTOs last night at an off-the-record gathering in Palo Alto Every single one showed me the same internal PowerPoint slide "2026 AI Headcount Targets: Path to 70% Cost Reduction" The numbers will make you physically sick Fintech CTO planning to cut 280-person engineering org down to 43 "AI orchestrators" by September. Same product roadmap. Same delivery expectations. Healthcare CTO already eliminated his entire manual QA department. 67 people. Replaced with 3 senior engineers running autonomous testing agents that ship code directly to production. SaaS CTO walked me through his "human depreciation timeline": 340 engineers today, 89 planned for 2027. Customer support going from 120 humans to 12 "escalation specialists" managing AI conversations. The most chilling part: they're all using the exact same consulting deck from McKinsey called "The 30% Organization" One CTO literally said "hiring humans for code is like hiring horses for transportation" Another showed me Slack screenshots where his L7s are asking if they should train their replacements The consensus was unanimous: if you can't manage 10 AI agents by Christmas, you're not making it to New Year's Every single one of them is planning to announce these cuts as "AI transformation success stories" While their stock options vest at record highs built on the backs of workers they're about to execute The future of engineering is 3 humans with 50 AI agents in a WeWork somewhere while 500 families lose their homes

Sometimes a salesperson gets in the way of your PLG, and we had it happen twice… So we removed our sales department entirely. The first one was trying to sell an enterprise version of the product… but the problem is that everything you need to build for an enterprise customer is completely different from everything you need to build for a PLG product. > Different onboarding > Different support > Different features > Different everything We were building a PLG product, so that rep was selling something that didn't exist yet, and probably shouldn't have existed at that stage anyway. (Which didn't work out) The second one was a good person, a normal sales rep. But people were just too lazy to use the self-serve channels, so they booked a call instead with our sales rep for support… So we removed both. Nothing changed in sales. You would have never known the function was ever there, and that told me everything I needed to know about what we'd actually built. RB2B is a dead-simple PLG product. It does one thing. You can watch it do that thing in about five minutes. Pre-sale for a product like this can be handled entirely by AI. The simpler your product, the more this applies. The more complex your software, the more you actually need humans involved. But if you're building PLG and your first instinct is to hire a sales rep, just ask yourself what they're actually going to do all day. If they’ll answer questions that the product could answer itself… you don’t need a sales team.

@bwags Oh I think Gmail search is clear winner. Was never ever able to find an email into was looking for except typing exact email address of who it came from and then manually scrolling messages. Has to be email too. Search for John Smith. Itll give you all Johns and all Smith.

@ciceromt63 Morality? In business? Why you are not happy paying double the price for anything you buy and instead complaining of high prices everywhere? Isnt it the same. 🤔 you want higher wage so pay extra and willingly higher price for goods and services.

@Splitown Thats such a cowards way out. Markets and price discovery are obviously useful for efficiency reasons but objective moral truth actually exists believe it or not and, yes, it’s wrong to worsen the quality of life of your citizens by importing what’s effectively slave labor

GDP doesn't mean shit. Example: you can get an MRI scan in China for about $50, same day. Food costs less, rent in most cities is less. A 5 star hotel in China (same chain) costs 1/10th as much as in America. You can get a good electric care for about 20K, etc, etc...
The c in causal stands for Cory@coryfromphilly

Chinese infrastructure photos are wild because they seem so advanced, except then you're reminded that China has a GDP per capita similar to Mexico. Impressive 30+ year gains, but what this tells us is that infrastructure is actually kinda easy to do!

Availability of money moves the price of real estate nothing else. People are buying monthly payments. If there were no mortgages then price would be in a range of 200k for almost everything. The cheaper / easier it is to finance the less actual $ value of the asset is. Look at cars, boats, houses. All same.

@Splitown @SirDanofC “you guys screwed it all up” those decisions were all made by Boomer-age government and Boomer-age business owners/managers and Boomer-age property owners. even millennials in 2026 have VERY little sway in Govt, Business ownership and Home ownership.

In Canada. Rent almost never covers mortgage. So renting actually benefits you. For you guys its other way around. (its area specific of course, but mostly). You can live free and actually collect on top. Look at triplexes and up in your area. Regardless of their price. Don't be scared of 1m+ price. Cause the more units you got the more rental income it gets = less personal income you need to qualify. (sometimes 0 income is ok, but then banks start being bi.. and saying nah even though it works we want .... ) . As long as you are within that 0% down range.

@Splitown @electric_btc @SirDanofC If you saw the cost benefit from where I’m standing you’d understand renters just fine. Payments aren’t free, chief. I don’t know how things are up in Canada but in the U.S. it’s about like I described. And as it turns out, most of the work is where most of the people are, too.

@Splitown @SirDanofC And I’ve been very fortunate in this area too, but many of my friends haven’t. We’ve got millions of talented people unable to do anything to contribute.
