For the low, low price of $0.00 - $5.00 we might buy and recreate all the sets from Starfleet Academy!

@Howlingmutant0 @CollinRugg The same people who arbitrarily oppose the death penalty are also the same people who are positively gleeful when the criminal gets maimed or killed in prison.

@CollinRugg I’m not trying to do the online tough guy thing here but can’t we just kill people like this? Do you really think this guy even likes being alive? What exactly does anyone gain from letting him linger on death row for fifteen years

NEW: Prosecutor appears to suggest there is DNA evidence that 7-year-old Athena Strand, who was killed by a FedEx driver, was s*xually assaulted by him. Tanner Horner is accused of abducting the girl from her home before strangling her to her death. "We have DNA. Not only do we have initial DNA from Athena that has Tanner Horner's... We also have Tanner Horner's DNA in places where you shouldn't find DNA on a seven-year-old girl." Athena tried her best to fight off Horner. His DNA was allegedly found under her fingernails. Horrific.

NEW: FedEx driver who is accused of abducting and strangling a seven-year-old girl, puts his face in his hand as a photo is displayed of him driving her to her death. 7-year-old Athena Strand was seen standing behind Tanner Horner in his FedEx truck. Athena was allegedly snatched by Horner when he was delivering a Barbie doll to her home in Paradise, Texas. Horner initially claimed that he accidentally hit the girl with the truck before "panicking" and pulling her into the vehicle. He said he then strangled her in the vehicle and dumped the body 7 miles from the home. The photo, however, shows that Athena was alert in the truck and did not appear to have been struck by the truck. Wise County District Attorney James Stainton says the jury will see footage on the day of the killing, depicting the moment Athena was strangled to death. "Somebody covered up the camera because they don't want you to see. Guess what? Audio is still running, and you're going to hear it. You're going to hear what a 250-pound man can do to a 67-pound child," he said. "And when I say it's horrible, I mean it. I've been doing this for 25 years, and I promise you, buckle up." Horner qualifies for the death penalty.

It’s still incredibly weird that Guillermo Del Toro movie where a woman fucks a fish monster won best picture despite not even being very good Was everyone just blinded by the sheer balls of having a woman fuck a fish monster in an Oscarbait movie?

@fandompulse He's not. His being gay would detract from the point of his character.

JK Rowling on Dumbledore being gay in Harry Potter: "Dumbledore is gay, actually. n fact, recently I was in a script read-through for the sixth film, and they had Dumbledore saying a line to Harry early in the script, saying, 'I knew a girl once, whose hair--' I had to write a little note in the margin and slide it along to the scriptwriter -- 'Dumbledore's gay!'" Is HBO going to put this on screen in the new series?

Real Life Fake Wizard made a video recently talking about how bad writers default to "morally gray" protagonists because it removes the need for consistent values and a story that challenges those values, so there's no need for a meaningful arc. It's a lot easier to write a character who just does whatever the writer feels like because a character who can do anything is indistinguishable from a character who has no traits.
Alice Smith@TheAliceSmith

Every time I hear some woke screenwriter or reviewer talk about the need for “morally complex” plots or “morally grey” heroes, I think of this quote from Nietzsche. “They muddy the water, to make it seem deep.”

@GuntherEagleman Victimhood intersectionality - the most hopelessly violent criminals are by default the least privileged. The least privileged are victims by default, regardless of context.

> best Bond > best villain > best evil plan > best M > best Q > best theme > best car > best girls > only flaws are a forgettable "mook" and more grounded gadgets And yet people will still somehow argue that this isn't the best movie in the franchise (they're wrong).
