#ProjectHailMary REVIEW: - Ladies and Gentlemen I am in absolute awe right now as I’m writing this review. PHM is truly a love letter to the sci fi genre. Beautiful directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, they delivered not only an exceptionally gorgeous movie but one with heart and humor and a message about the importance of friendship and fighting for something bigger than yourself. - Special shoutout to one Ryan Gosling who has delivered some of his best work to date. - I for-see this movie winning a lot of rewards and once you see it you will understand that it will be more than deserved. I urge everyone reading this review to go out and get a ticket for this movie. You won’t regret it and most importantly it’ll be a reminder of why going to the theaters and having the theatrical experience is beautiful and most of all needed. Rating: 9.5/10

The President's Man (2000) Streaming on Prime Video in the US, UK, and Canada The sequences with Chuck Norris are truly fun in this made-for-TV movie/backdoor pilot, especially an epic OTT opening sequence. But it's very easy to see why this didn't go forward into a series pick-up. Norris was still in the middle of his final season of Walker, Texas Ranger, and the series would've quite obviously focused on the 'young protégé.' I doubt that anyone would've turned in for that. Still, the film taken on its own merits is a good time for any Norris fan, It would even get a sequel (with a different co-star) C+

His and Hers 1.3 Someone please tell me this gets better again. The first 2 episodes were fine, but now it's getting silly. I don't want to bail halfway done. C-

Chuck Norris held a 183-10-2 record and was a 6x world champion in full contact bare knuckle karate. On top of that, he beat heavyweight kickboxing world champion Joe Lewis 3 consecutive times and also had a brutal sparring match with undefeated kickboxing world champion, Bill Superfoot Wallace, that lasted an hour and a half. According to Wallace, they practically stalemated and "beat the crap out of each other". Chuck was trained in kickboxing/boxing by Benny The Jet Urquidez and was also trained in BJJ by the Gracies and Machados for 20 years. Even being able to submit Carlos Machado himself on occasion. Chuck had a 315 Ibs bench press at 180 lbs bodyweight and was said to have a grip back in the day that nobody could escape from because he was so strong. Even Jean Claude Van Damme said he'd never fight Chuck Norris, despite being a kickboxing world champion himself. Chuck held a 10th degree black belt in Chun Kuk Do, a 9th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do, an 8th degree black belt in Taekwondo, a 5th degree black belt in Karate, a 3rd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and a black belt in Judo. Rest in peace, Chuck!

Good Guys Wear Black (1978) Streaming on MGM+ Much less action-oriented as his later films would be, I feel compelled to give this political espionage thriller props as it was the deciding film for Chuck Norris to go into acting full time. He had been the lead in Breaker Breaker a year earlier, but had still been hedging his bets on the direction of his life. He was in the process of establishing a new kickboxing league, and would cite that choosing to star in this over the league would change the trajectory of his life. So in essence, we should thank this film in part to making him into the legend that he was, is, and forever will be. Granted, a longabout way to say, I enjoyed the film 😆
