Robert Kennedy: died a hero ❤️6 recipients benefited from his organs 💛 @PeelPolice treated his medical emergency, brain hemorrhage, as intoxication & issued him a ticket before taking him to ER. 30 YO. Gone too soon. Accountability is important! jaffnamonitor.com/featured/death…

If you are a private business profiting right now from anything to do with: - Moving the Ontario Science Center - Digging a tunnel under Highway 401 - Taking over Toronto Island Airport and expanding it - The Ontario Place boondoggle Your corruption will have consequences.

Reason he and others differentiate it because we are different as much as we are alike with Tamil Nadu Tamils. Also, when you say both are same, it feeds into Sinhalese argument of Tamils have another place to go and they have none. They have been using this to justify their encroachment.

You fundamentally misunderstand the dynamics of Eezham if you think "we lost it" Eelam Tamils aren't TN Tamils that migrated to Eelam, they're the indigenous people of that island that became Tamilified, just like how Palestinians got Arabized.
Arasa ஃ@HarashaKrish

@ArunAnnow @karnan425820868 It is right now cuz we lost Ezham and we can't lose this too to outsiders. That's the point and every Tamizh has their right to question on Tamizh Nadu politics. Why you guys gotta take small things and fight over it ? Chill bro

@EricDLombardi @driftingwendigo I guarantee you won’t be able to do anything. I appreciate your stance. Worst case you will blacklist them maybe? They will rename and come back. Just like SNC-Lavalin renaming themselves.

@driftingwendigo “Spent legally” is different than “spent ethically” and I’m sure at a greater value than actually delivered. Graft is almost always greenwashed through project and infrastructure spending. People have a cartoonish picture of how this works. Not all consequences are criminal.

@Garnet_2203 Ontario spends 40% of the budget on healthcare. How much should this increase before we look for efficiencies? Over the last 10 years, revenue has increased by 18% but healthcare expenditure has risen by 30%.

Watch closely, this isn’t happening by accident. Doug Ford is following the same playbook we’re seeing elsewhere. Step by step, it mirrors what Danielle Smith is doing in Alberta and what the U.S. system has normalized for years. This is how it starts:
Underfund public healthcare → create frustration → introduce “alternatives” → normalize private, for-profit care → bring in insurance-driven models. And let’s be clear the capitalist private insurance companies have been eyeing Canada for decades. There’s been pressure going back to the Harper era to open that door. Because once it opens, it doesn’t close. Universal healthcare isn’t just a system it’s a safeguard. And if people don’t pay attention now, we risk waking up to something very different. This isn’t fear-mongering. It’s a pattern. And patterns matter.

Dark Brian Fella: It's Slava time. 🇨🇦🇺🇦👊
Let me explain something. Our provinces receive billions of dollars of transfers from the Feds to cover healthcare costs. When 75% of hospitals are running deficits, this is because the funding is not being properly directed to the hospitals. The Province is solely at fault here.

@The_Brian_Life Health care is ~ 40% of Ontario’s budget. It’s been consistently that way for the last 10 years. Do we have a funding problem or spending problem?

@AnEmortalKid @VicVijayakumar With AI it’s the managers job at the risk more so than an IC. You can trim the sr. Mgr. sr. Director roles. IC - Manager - VP. Maybe add a director if needed

I'm now able to tell my agent “we are going to work on JIRA-1234” and it goes and pulls down the task, makes me a plan, I say yeah okay that looks good, and it generates the commit. I run an AI review from a different session, it finds 4 issues of varying priorities, I paste it to my original agent and say validate these findings and fix them if necessary, it creates a fix, I run another review, no more high priority issues found. I open up the code in an IDE to go over it before pushing it up for human review. Looks fine I guess, nothing crazy. I try to understand everything before I push it up for review because if this breaks, it's still my name on it. I say why did you make this one change, it gives me a reasonable explanation for why. It says something codebaity like "if you want I can suggest 2 more ways you could really tighten up this work to prevent some rare but possible regressions". I'm smart enough to not fall for it. Code pushed up, task moved to in-review. I didn't write any of it, this is not my accomplishment. Users won't care who wrote it if it works. A lot done in 20 mins but it felt soulless.

@GergelyOrosz We were hit with this yesterday. Only reason we figured it out was due to a merge conflict and someone went looking.

A terrible incident coming from an infra provider. This is not an outage resulting in downtime, or data lost on the cloud (that is trivial to restore from local git.) It’s a data integrity issue, which sounds hard and difficult to untangle by anyone hit by it. A real WTH moment
Tom Elliott@theotherelliott

This GitHub incident is insane. Merge queue commits have been reverting previously merged commits at random. This not only breaks the mental contract teams have with Git in general, but is subtle enough to be really hard to unravel after the fact. githubstatus.com/incidents/zsg1…
