It sold well on PlayStation to start but numbers saw a rapid decline as well but those souls were just stuck with a product they didn’t want to play. High sales low retention is not a flex.

After losing $300 million on Black Ops 6 with Game Pass, this makes perfect sense to do.

@TagTrinity @KeshavBhat The keyword there being biggest “launch” then after launch the numbers cratered to historic low levels never seen before. They couldn’t retain because the product was substandard. The golden era never imploded Which also explains BO7 sales. But let’s blame GP much easier

@northernace44 @KeshavBhat And you would be wrong because BO6 ended up being one of the best rated and received CoDs in recent memory. It had the biggest launch in franchise history on Playstation. So tell me again it's because the product was substandard.

Those people tuned out because of a variety of things SBMM, Omnimovement etc. they would have retained those GP numbers if the product was good. Even less people would have tried those games without GP. This is corporate spin.

@northernace44 @KeshavBhat You're not listening. I'll simplyfy it for you: If CoD sold 20 copies every year without fail for 5 years straight then suddenly sold just 10 as soon as it hit Gamepass what would you conclude? Mind you this was for Black Ops 6 which was very well received.

@TagTrinity @KeshavBhat They didn’t though because those numbers assume that anyone who launched the game on game pass would be a sale. Which is absolutely not the case, you can’t assume that at all because majority of those were people who were never dropping the full retail.

@vangrolle Goal shifting again. PS+ and GPU are what is being spoken about here. Gamepass average metacritic score is higher than Ps+ so already your argument that Gamepass is a bunch of crap is looking shaky. Gamepass added 50 brand new games on their release date. PS+? 8 indie games lol

@TagTrinity PlayStation Plus also has good games, and many more games in the catalog. I don't miss anything that's on Xbox; PlayStation is a complete console.

Enquanto isso na PlayStation temos exclusivos de qualidade bem inferior à antigamente, aumento de preços, loja ancestral onde vários indies nem entram em pré-venda (monte de gente queria ver o preço de Mouse e Hades 2 por exemplo e só apareceu após sair)… E o mais louco é que grandes nomes da comunidade agem como se estivesse tudo bem… comunicação era ruim e com essa gestão nova piorou, sdds eventos… tempos sombrios. A Xbox só precisa continuar assim pra tornar o Helix bem atrativo.

Gamepass made $5 billion in 2025 13% more than 2024 IIRC… If you are a COD PC Gamepass player (that doesn’t play on console) they’re giving you $30/year off to have to buy a $70 game now… hooray 🫩 On the ultimate (Console & PC player) side they’re giving you $84/year off pricing so that’s a better deal for all even if you’re not a COD player… I am likely canceling my PC GamePass and buying COD on battlenet since it generally performs slightly better on that launcher anyways… probably not what Microsoft wants here but there’s not a whole lot in PC game pass that I have super been interested in anyway of late…

They get you in the door and have you feel committed then you buy skins. Cods sucked lately with how they make it/reused content/SBMM and so on. That’s why.

@Tuggernut4 @Colteastwood Yawn. None of those games cost $800 million YEARLY and leave a 400 million revenue dent in yearly fiscal reports. Shareholders aren't looking at 3 years of yearly Fallout revenue and seeing the impact of including it in GPU so your concerns are fake.
