The market is making a dangerous assumption: Trump will unblock Hormuz. But what if he can’t? Or worse… what if he loses control of it — just as the UK did during the 1956 Suez Canal Crisis? Because the numbers don’t add up. In 1973, oil surged 134% after ~7–9% of global oil supply was disrupted by the Arab Oil Embargo. Today? Roughly 20% of the global oil supply is being impacted by the shuttered Strait of Hormuz. That’s more than double the impact of the 1973 shock. And yet, oil is "only" up ~50%, having risen from $65 to $98 at the time of writing. In summary, today's oil shock is over 2x larger than 1973, but it's being priced as less than half as severe. If this gap closes, $150–200 oil is entirely plausible here. But even above $80 oil, a nasty wave of 70s-style stagflation looks set to reverberate across the global economy. In the 1970s, this exact setup drove gold to a 24x performance by 1980, with silver delivering an even more explosive ~40x return. And yet, we think today's backdrop has the potential to be even more combustible: 1. Central Banks were not aggressive gold buyers in the 70s. Since 2022, they've been buying it hand over fist. 2. U.S debt went from $370 billion to $850 billion in the 70s. Today, it's at $39 trillion, and growing exponentially thanks to $1 trillion annual interest payments and relentless military spending. 3. The petrodollar enforced U.S monetary dominance since 1974. Today, it's compromised by Iran reportedly limiting the flow of tankers in the Strait of Hormuz to those settling payment in Chinese Yuan. All of this raises a serious question: What happens if gold doesn’t just repeat the 1970s… but exceeds it? I break it all down in my latest piece for @SoundMoneyRpt 👇 👉 Be sure to subscribe for the full analysis. soundmoneyreport.substack.com/p/war-oil-and-… @RonStoeferle

@Pacifica_Silver just increased its Phase II drill program at Claudia by 67% — from 12,000m to 20,000m. It closed a C$23M financing on January 23 and received permits on February 11 for up to 153 additional drill sites. As of March 14, 6,452m had been drilled across 25 holes using 3 rigs. That leaves a little over two-thirds (13,548m) of the program still to be drilled. Naturally, we're bracing ourselves for a steady stream of high-grade assays, as Pacifica keeps those drills turning until phase II finishes around June. thegoldadvisor.com/silver-advisor… @Peter_Krauth

ESGold just raised C$7.2M at C$0.68/share, above where the stock has recently traded. That matters. Why? Because Montauban is not just a concept story — it’s permitted, targeting production this year, and still has blue-sky upside that the market may not fully appreciate. Avino @Avino_ASM just posted a record Q4, and the numbers speak for themselves: $30.5M revenue $17.8M mine operating income $10.5M net income $102M cash 345,298 oz silver produced (+22% YoY) A more silver-weighted producer + higher silver prices = a setup worth watching. We’re officially launching @Kingsmen_Res in Silver Advisor. Here are a few reasons why @peter_krauth and I like the company: Kingsmen is advancing two brownfield silver assets in the historic Parral mining district of Chihuahua, Mexico. It's consolidated its land packages on past-producing, high-grade silver mines such as the Cigarrero mine. It's surrounded by high-profile majors such as First Majestic, Discovery Silver, and GoGold Resources. No debt, C$50M market cap, and a tight share structure of just 33.4M shares outstanding (43.3M fully diluted). Just closed a C$13M financing, and is deploying funds toward a 15,000 metre drill program at Las Coloradas. Ultimately, that’s the kind of setup we pay attention to before the broader market catches on. I break down the key details — and why this story matters now — inside today’s issue: thegoldadvisor.com/silver-advisor… PS. We’ve also included a narrated flyover of the project for your convenience.

Very few companies are embodying the spirit of "drill baby drill" as well as @KootenaySilver. The company is less than one-third of the way through its recently expanded 60,000-metre drill program at its flagship Columba Silver Project. 18,000 metres have been drilled thus far, with 10 high-grade holes released, and another 8 holes pending sampling and assaying. On top of that, the company has budgeted a 10,000-meter drill program for H2 2026 at La Cigarra - its second of FOUR silver assets in Mexico. Better yet, Kootenay is targeting a PEA in mid to late Q2 – a re-rating catalyst that stands to unveil La Cigarra’s attractive project economics. We also added Kootenay’s latest VRIFY @VRIFYTechnology deck. You can get all the details (for free) in today's Silver Advisor: thegoldadvisor.com/newsletters/ko…

Just finished up 4 very productive days in Toronto with @peter_krauth. Company presentations offered high-level insights, but the most compelling signals came from repeated, off-stage conversations — including one with a manager at one of Canada's largest hedge funds. My key takeaway: silver is moving into broader awareness, but participation in the miners is still selective — classic “early phase” behaviour. @RonStoeferle Much appreciated, Ronnie! I think it's fair to say we share similar reservations about the traditional 60/40 portfolio :)

@AyaGoldSilver's latest Boumadine update had real weight. Highlights: • 255 g/t AgEq over 11.9m • 446 g/t AgEq over 6.0m • 166 g/t AgEq over 17.1m • 296 g/t AgEq over 9.5m Just as important: a new parallel structure ~500m east of the main trend. That may prove to be the bigger development. @peter_krauth provides more detail in today’s Silver Advisor letter: thegoldadvisor.com/silver-advisor… #silver #miningstocks #AyaGoldAndSilver

@GRSilverMining's upgrade to the OTCQX is more than a headline. It comes as the company ramps up a 20,000m program at San Marcial, with 2 rigs turning and more expected. Better access + stronger market standing + potential liquidity gains — right as drilling picks up. We also added recent drone footage for context. Days after being recognised as a TSX Venture Top 50 company, @argentasilverag has dropped a bombshell update featuring bonanza-grade assays and an expanded resource footprint. Headline hit at Mani-Copan: 4,982 g/t Ag over 7.5m, incl. 6,859 g/t Ag over 4.5m. They also extended the Yaxtché resource by ~270m with multiple strong step-outs. We added a short animation with the key results. x.com/i/status/20259… My full breakdown is in today’s Silver Advisor. #gogold" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">thegoldadvisor.com/silver-advisor… #Silver #MiningStocks #Argentina #JuniorMining

@ESGold_Corp just expanded Montauban exploration from 10 km² to 70 km² — a 7x increase. Why it matters: -3D model outlined a corridor to ~900 m depth -At least 2 km strike -System appears to widen at depth -Historical drilling was mostly shallow (~50 m, deepest ~250 m) ESGold is also advancing toward 2026 production, so investors are watching both exploration upside and development progress. @Avino_ASM's 2025 recap + 2026 outlook reads like this: consistent execution → transformational growth. This growth is characterised by the following catalysts: -Stronger balance sheet with zero debt (excluding operating equipment leases). -Increasing Production at La Preciosa, with goal of 500 tpd forecasted for H2 2026. -Targeted 30,000-metre drilling program, split equally between the Avino Mine and La Preciosa. -Updated Mineral Resource Estimate due in H1 2026 (including an inaugural Mineral Reserve Estimate) For the full analysis, check out my take in today’s free Silver Advisor: thegoldadvisor.com/silver-advisor… PS. @Silver47co has started metallurgical testwork on historic tailings at Hughes (Nevada). This is the right kind of “surface ounces” work: the concept is simple, but everything hinges on one thing — recoveries. If the numbers cooperate, the market will notice. @peter_krauth gives full context in today’s free Silver Advisor: thegoldadvisor.com/silver-advisor…
