Thirty people knowing first-aid is a blessing. Thirty people knowing their local geography and infrastructure. Etc

@forces_at_work @tactipus_ See I read OP as basically blaming middle-class insularity ("survivalism") and seeing this as the intervention site. Which feels misdirected and somewhat self defeating. Obviously panic buying bad, but it's often media created, and VERY hard to challenge through persuasion.

@forces_at_work @tactipus_ Note how seizing food in quasi looting is miles away from OP's "shout at people if you have to" and advocacy to police civilian spending habits? You're now talking about something good, but different, and still limited in other ways (legality, remains reliant on supermarket etc)

@ThaRubyPrincess @tactipus_ You need a political response, too, but this would be transforming relations and negating capital directly. If you confiscate the food and just giving it to people for free, that breaks capital's hold. But this isn't meant to be one-dimesnional.
