I need to spotlight this because it's just insanely sick, and it's likely getting overshadowed by all of the Strategy stuff. We talk a ton about alignment with @GoodVibesClub Typically, that's financially-oriented through reinjection of royalties, fees, and revenue back into the VibeStrategy system (almost at $1M to-date!). And while all of that is wildly exciting for collectors, and presents immense upside for all involved, it shouldn't overshadow the caliber of IP development that's happening – and specifically how it's happening. Here's where a different type of alignment comes in. If you missed it, GVC ran a community lore contest the other week to create a story around a character you own or love. The prompt was simple: "Pick your favorite “Blue” GVC and build them a killer backstory." Normally, the winner would get a retweet, a shoutout, and maybe win a giveaway. A fun little community contest for some engagement. Move on. Lore is sort of a meme in that sense. But here's where GVC is built different... and this was a literal holy shit moment for me when I saw it. Within a week, over the holiday, @chrisguyot brought the winning character Azul (by @CryptoTendy) and their story to life; in short-form + an official GIF. At absolutely obscene 3D quality. (This is where you remember that they're a world-class animation studio, and can just do things like this in-house... rapidly). Part of what makes collecting characters and PFPs here so exciting is the chance to see them live and breathe beyond an OpenSea profile. We're seeing more of that lately with @OthersideMeta. But to co-author that story and universe together, 1-on-1, with the creators of the collection itself? That's next-level special, and something that resonated deeply with me. Building together, but actually this time. I think it's what we've always hoped IP brands in web3 would be and ultimately set them apart; but it never really manifested itself in any meaningful way until now. It's a good reminder that fun, personalization, and inclusivity still matter as web3 brands grow up. As much as some will shout about it, it's not just about numbers going up/down for all of us. It's about collecting art you love and resonate with, and making something genuinely meaningful, together. At the end of the day, this should be... fun. We shouldn't lose that spirit. Market has been complete A.S.S. lately, and know how hard it has been on many, but this was a great reminder and point of perspective.
