The Ukrainian people and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Professor Dag Øistein Endsjø of the University of Oslo officially nominated the Ukrainian people and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize. As a university professor, he holds the formal right to submit nominations. His argument: by defending their democracy against Russian aggression, the Ukrainian people have helped preserve peace across Europe. The nomination is not just about Zelensky as an individual. It recognizes an entire nation that has been resisting occupation, violence, and repression since 2014, and especially since the full-scale invasion of 2022.

In one call, Lavrov asks for sanctions on oligarch Alisher Usmanov’s sister to be lifted — Szijjártó responds that Hungary, together with Slovakia, is already preparing a proposal. Before ending the call, Szijjártó also mentioned visiting Gazprom’s new headquarters and added: “I’m always at your service.” According to European intelligence officials, the tone of the exchanges resembles that of a “handler and source” rather than two equal officials. The Ukrainian army takes care of everyone👀

We visited Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Jordan, and we also engaged with other states. NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov remained in the region, where he will hold several more meetings. Firstly, we took a critical step: we shared our expertise on how to protect people and civilian infrastructure. Leaders of the Middle East countries are extremely grateful to the Ukrainians for this. Secondly, there are strategic agreements extending many years into the future. This is also about the opening of exports, but the right kind of opening—when it is not just our experience being sold, but what partners are really getting is a system. Not only interceptors, but also defense lines, software, and electronic warfare capabilities. We are taking a systemic approach. These are historic agreements on strategic cooperation in miltech and other areas. Ten-year agreements. This is about mutual assistance. We’re interested in anti-ballistic capabilities—we have a shortage there. We’re also facing challenges related to energy. Such agreements will be formalized and they are extremely important for our state. Ukraine has never had this kind of agreements in this region before. From my conversation with journalists (1/3).
