Mike Brown is back in the NBA Finals for the first time since 2007 — the 19-year gap is the longest by a coach in league history. His 11-game playoff win streak is also the longest by a head coach in his first season with a team.

#Urban_Transformation: Aggressive redevelopment with "development corridors," reducing slum areas from 74% to 30% over five years (per city reports). Focus on beautification, modern roads, parks, and turning #AddisAbaba into a more livable, tourism-friendly, and diplomatic hub.

Stop blaming the budget. Kigali runs on half of what Nairobi receives and it is spotless, organized and functional. The difference is not money. The difference is not resources. The difference is not infrastructure. The difference is us. We are corrupt. We are undisciplined. We litter, we bribe, we steal public funds, we elect thieves and then complain about the results of electing thieves. Nairobi is not a city that needs more money. Nairobi needs people who are ashamed of what they have allowed it to become. Until that day comes no amount of funding will fix what is fundamentally a character problem. 😐

Kigali’s Green Transformation: A Model for Urban Sustainability Every time I look at Kigali, I’m reminded that green is not an aesthetic choice here, it’s a strategy. A strategy for resilience, health, and long-term economic value. Today, Kigali stands out as one of Africa’s cleanest and greenest cities, and the numbers speak for themselves: ▪️ 52% of Kigali’s total surface is green-covered (parks, wetlands, forests, urban trees) ▪️ Over 700 km² of planned, low-density urban development ▪️ 23 protected wetlands maintained for climate resilience and biodiversity ▪️ > 1 million trees planted in the last decade to restore ecosystems and reduce emissions ▪️ Air quality that consistently ranks among the best in African capitals But beyond the statistics, the impact is real: ✔️ Cleaner air → fewer respiratory illnesses and healthier communities ✔️ Lower carbon footprint → Kigali contributes significantly less emissions per capita 💧 Wetland conservation → natural flood prevention and water purification 🏙️ Urban cooling → green zones help reduce heat by up to 4–6°C in some neighborhoods 📈 Increased property value → green cities attract investors, talent, and tourism 🛣️ Smarter infrastructure → integrating nature reduces long-term maintenance costs What Kigali shows is simple: When a city puts people and planet at the center of planning, everything else aligns, health, investment, and liveability. This is what sustainable African urbanization looks like. A city that grows forward, not bigger. A city where development and nature coexist. Photo courtesy.

If the useless Governor Sakaja had used his tenure to actually build Nairobi’s walkways, cycling lanes, functional public transit, the fuel price hike would sting far less. A city designed for people, not just cars, is a city that absorbs economic shocks. Instead we elected 🤡 who tour the world, stay in its best hotels, walk its most livable cities and take selfies to brag on X like that orangutan Atwoli when in 🇨🇭 and return home to do absolutely nothing differently. They come back and steal public funds to buy overpriced apartments in Dubai while continuing to live in the same dysfunction they refuse to fix. Exposure without conscience is just tourism. Dwanzi ni dwanzi hata aende wapi.

Corruption is KILLING KENYA. We pay global standard rate for infrastructure. But get shit, because goverment officials take 40% of the contract price as bribe. The contractor makes 30% as profit and puts only 30% into the project. Look at the SHIT that is Ngong-Suswa Road.

Riswa! The Ngong-Suswa Rd that was allegedly recently completed by Kenya Kwisha is nothing but 70 km of narrow, kiraka ridden takataka. This colossal disaster is supposed to be the alternative to the Nairobi-Mai Mahiu 175 km killer stretch that claims hundreds of lives annually.

The completion of the Ngong–Suswa Highway is a major milestone and a true game changer for regional connectivity. Now fully operational, the approximately 70 kilometre tarmac road provides a critical alternative to the often congested Nairobi–Mai Mahiu Road along the escarpment. The highway creates a direct and more efficient link from Ngong Town to Suswa, significantly reducing travel time for motorists heading to Narok, Bomet and Kisii Counties as well as other parts of the larger Western Kenya. The highway is already unlocking significant economic opportunities along the corridor. Farmers and livestock traders in Kajiado County now enjoy faster and more reliable access to markets in Nairobi, enabling them to move produce and livestock more efficiently while reducing transport costs. Improved accessibility has also triggered a steady rise in land value and stimulated new investments, including petrol stations, service centres, hospitality facilities and other roadside enterprises that are creating jobs and expanding local commerce. At the national level, the highway plays an important role in decongesting traffic along the Nairobi–Mai Mahiu escarpment corridor, particularly during festive seasons or in situations where the route is disrupted by accidents, landslides or floods. Through the coordination of the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration, the corridor benefits from strengthened road safety awareness, improved coordination with security agencies and enhanced administrative oversight along the route.
