Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani
There is nothing more important than keeping New Yorkers safe, and reining in super speeders will save lives. I am proud to support efforts in Albany to enable new tools like Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) in our fight for safe streets.

“A small but reckless group of recidivist speeders poses a grave threat to the health and safety of everyone. That is why we, and Mayor Mamdani, support Intelligent Speed Assistance to rein in super speeders and save lives.” Commissioner Flynn’s op-ed: nydailynews.com/2026/04/25/alb…

This 1 mile stretch is among our most dangerous in Queens —especially for kids and caregivers! Life-saving measures: Pedestrian islands at intersections✅ Protected bike lanes✅ Daylighting to boost visibility at corners & crosswalks✅ Sign and share change.org/p/bring-safety…

Respectfully, what am I supposed to do when the literal only path for me to get me + an infant/toddler from below ground on the subway to above ground is an elevator that a crazy person is clearly posted up in and not leaving?

Hochul's congestion pricing pause has paused crucial subway upgrades including elevators & accessibility at 23 stations. We're canvassing these stations to talk to riders about what we've lost (& how to fight back!). Join us Sun. 9/8, 10:30am-noon. RSVP: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI…

Back when @UPSTANDMovement was founded, MTA told me to “get in line” when I advocated for family fares as a necessary discount. Now, a huge step forward by @MTA toward making NYC more affordable and livable for families with school-age children. 24/7, 365!

Big yikes @NYC_DOT. If this is what qualifies as daylighting in New York City, then that goal of 1,000 intersections by the end of the year is a farce.
