@PaulGadsden82 And in denial. Many men seem to think all women, any age, are fair game. My daughter was 11 when a man asked her if she was 18. And what? Thinking she would want him to sexualise her irrespective?

@MFWitches 11. By a doctor touching my genitals. My mother was in the room. She said nothing. Did nothing. I am writing my memoir about these experiences and worse.

What took you so long? Seriously: several times on our posts over the years we’ve asked women to state the first age at which they felt sexualised by men or were harassed and/or assaulted by a man. Not one woman (out of thousands and thousands sometimes who responded on our threads) named an age older than 14, and the majority named an age of 11 or 12 … and well over a third said they were first sexually assaulted or raped at the age of 2, 4, 6 or 8. Women have known this for years and decades and centuries. Why are so many men so devastatingly slow to catch up?

In 1968, Tommie Smith and John Carlos performed the Black Power salute at the Olympics that outraged millions of white Americans. —The was an act of protest by the U.S. athletes Tommie Smith and John Carlos during their medal ceremony at the 1968 Summer Olympics in the Olympic Stadium in Mexico City. As they turned to face their flags and hear the American national anthem (The Star-Spangled Banner), they each raised a Black-gloved fist and kept them raised until the anthem had finished. Smith, Carlos and Australian silver medalist Peter Norman all wore human rights badges on their jackets. The event is regarded as one of the most overtly political statements in the history of the modern Olympic Games. Both athletes were kicked off the US team for their protest.

@AfricanArchives Peter Norman, the Australian who won the silver and chose to wear the badge in support of his competitors cause on the stand, didn't fare much better on his return home. He remained a virtual outcast the rest of his life. Only now are we celebrating him.

@realDonaldTrump This was a genius move. Trump just exposed Kamala's chronic lying, trolling her while making a genuine connection with the everyday workers she pretends to understand. The contrast couldn't be clearer.

So, SOME white people (MAGA’s) get offended when I post this. Asking my absolutely amazing white allies, supporters and digital friends — does this offend you in any way?

@AfricanAU This is so sad and appalling. Can the person who called the police be held to account? Can a formal complaint be lodged against the police?

Tuck, a 38-year-old Zimbabwean-born Australian citizen, was wrongly arrested for trespassing at his own townhouse in Narrabundah. Despite his explanation and showing his house keys, police detained him based on a neighbour's racially motivated call. 🧵1/4
