People often get in touch with MFW to ask how they can take part in our consumer boycotts. So here’s an explanation of what you can do, and why it matters. The commitment we need (for people who want to make a difference) is to contact 1, 2, 5 or more advertisers from our data lists each week, telling them why you demand they stop funding the misogyny, hate and lies expressed by the media personality or program/channel you choose. There are two ways to contact advertisers. You can use the data lists via our MFW website mfw.org.au, or via our web-based app at app.mfw.org.au. In either case, follow these instructions: 1. Click on campaigndata.mfw.org.au (#ToYourBrooms link on our sites) for all our #ToYourBrooms advertiser boycott campaigns. These target individuals, programs and/or media orgs which are the worst in terms of broadcast hate and lies. They currently include: - #BinBen (Ben Fordham/2GB) - #NewsCorpse (Rupert Murdoch’s papers and Sky News) - #SquishSpotlight (Kerry Stokes’s Spotlight TV show) - #TuckOff (Tucker Carlson) and - #VileKyle (Kyle Sandilands/KiiSFM). 2. Click on murdochfreeworld.mfw.org.au for our #MurdochFreeWorld supplier campaign, which targets businesses which stock or supply Murdoch- or Stokes-owned content. It’s easy to take part. Just find and click into on the hashtag campaign (as above) you prefer, and locate advertisers you currently use (or might use). Contact them via the email or social media details supplied. Tell them you’ll stop buying their products/services unless they stop funding the content you object to, and explain your specific objections. You can even tell them what they’re funding goes against their own Code of Conduct or Mission Statement (find these on their websites). Don’t take no for an answer, don’t listen to them say they don’t control where their advertising goes (this is rubbish), and keep it up with more advertisers. But please: always be polite. Currently, a few thousand witches a week do this. But if it were ten or fifty thousand, advertisers would pull out a lot faster. We also need financial support, preferably with a recurring donation of $5 or $10 per month, or more if funds allow. We can’t run our campaigns without the wherewithal to pay our staff who work very hard to compile and analyse huge amounts of data we then supply to you. They’re losing profits since more people see through their bullshit daily, and this causes them to publish for link clicks rather than truth. The only way to combat this is to show them they’ll lose more profit via losing advertisers unless they stop using outrage and deception to get attention. Our motive isn’t to put these companies out of business or for journalists to lose their jobs. We just want the lies and lack of balance to stop. If Rupert Murdoch and other similar media outlets would choose to run their companies with relatively objective reporting, we’d quickly abandon our witchy campaigns. What happens next, witches, is up to us all. If enough advertisers and suppliers pull out of supporting these awful companies, neither our politicians nor the media will fail to get the memo that we’re fucking tired of being lied to on a daily basis by journalists and companies who refuse to follow their own media codes. If you’re still in any doubt that there’s a war on women going on in this country (and everywhere else), please read this post. It’s about a rape case which just concluded in Victoria with a guilty verdict; most of the details are in this link: abc.net.au/news/2026-07-2… We addressed this conviction ourselves briefly on Twitter yesterday (last pic below) by raising the appalling situation where the rapist involved has had has his name suppressed for years and this suppression is ongoing for a still-unspecified length of time for his “mental health”, yet there’s no apparent judicial concern about the victim’s right to see her attacker named and shamed, particularly now he’s been convicted. But we also want to highlight information from feminist author and commentator @JaneTribune’s Insta, which has beautifully addressed the other even worse aspect (if that’s possible) of this crime. This is that a number of media outlets repeatedly called the rape victim a liar during the trial, without any way for her to do anything about the outrageous falsehoods. Here’s part of what Jane said, with proof of some of the reporting also in our pics below: “I've been waiting for a verdict to say anything but the reporting on this case has been absolutely disgusting. Headline after headline about her telling lies, having a financial motive to lie, making false allegations, being a liar, lying lying liar who lies. It was gross. I can't imagine what it was like for the woman who was raped and then put on trial for making a police report about the man who raped her. Then she had to see these reports come out day after day after being relentless slammed by the defence lawyer all day in court. The man's name is still being withheld but he has been found guilty by a jury. A guilty verdict is unusual in rape cases so clearly the jury heard something more than the court reporters were telling us. She did not lie. She told the truth. She was raped and the man she reported to police was the man who raped her. Because while his name’s now circulating a fair bit on social media, it’s still a crime to identify him. So we must insist that however enraging this issue is (and it is), all witches will abide by the law on our posts and in our threads. Any mention of the rapist’s name will potentially result in the poster being banned from MFW. Having said that, here’s the issue. WHY are the media rushing to repeatedly call the victim in this case a liar? WHY would they even want to do that? WHY are some media companies still casting doubt over the verdict now he’s been found guilty. What is it about this case (or this defendant) which has apparently made the media freely assign him innocence before the jury even came to its verdict? And why is their ability to do that even legal while the matter is still before the court? If you can answer those questions, witches, you’re doing a fuckload better than us. Because it makes no sense, even for an organisation which expects women to be regularly disadvantaged and demeaned (because we so often are). All we can do is call it out. And hope you’ll use your fury over this issue to continue to help us call the media and their lies and their blatant misogyny and therefore their propping up of violence towards women to account. And as the rapist in this case seems to have now decided to appeal, we hope her bravery holds up during this future action, should she feel able to go through what must be a traumatising process again. 1/2

The reason @JacintaAllanMP got rolled yesterday was because Rupert Murdoch is primarily a mining oligarch who uses a media company as his marketing arm and who has thus long wanted to make even more profit by legalising fracking in Victoria, which he’d be able to do if the LNP got into power. Thank you, Dave. I appreciate you reaching out to ask what you got wrong. The clip we’re discussing is less than 90 seconds long. What I’m about to do demonstrates Brandolini's Law: where the amount of energy required to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude greater than that required to produce it. Or, in this case, it takes around 600 words to correct 90 seconds of your economic fan fiction. 1⃣ Between 0 and 30 seconds You begin by confusing government debt with the Future Fund and appear to suggest that the Future Fund can't exist along side Govt debt. They’re different things. One can exist without the other, and in Australia they do. Australia's Future Fund was established in 2006 with an initial govt investment of about $60B. Its first annual report, in 2008, showed assets of around $64 billion - not the $100B you suggested. Then, at around 27 seconds, you talk about the Future Fund as though it ceased to exist (you used the word 'had' as in past tense). It still very much exists Dave. In fact, it's grown every single year since it was created. Today it's worth around $270 billion, or over $330 billion once the other funds under management are included (eg Medical Research / Housing Australia / Drought). So before we're even 30 seconds into the clip you've managed to confuse government debt, the Future Fund, its size, and whether it still exists. That’s a lot of economic history to get wrong in under 30 seconds. 2⃣ Around 32 seconds You then claim Kevin Rudd used the Future Fund to "flush money through the economy". Again, that’s simply false. The Future Fund wasn't used to fund the stimulus. It wasn't used to build school halls. It wasn’t used for any of the things you’re describing. In your defence, you do briefly flirt with the possibility that you don’t actually know what you’re talking about. Sadly, it was a very short-lived relationship. The GFC stimulus was funded through government borrowing. For context, construction approvals were collapsing, more than a million Australians worked in construction, and the objective was to stop unemployment exploding during the worst global financial crisis in generations. You're welcome to argue that was the wrong policy (but you didn't). You’re not entitled to rewrite where the money came from. 3⃣ At about 44 seconds You say, "I might be wrong". I concede you were correct during this part of the video. 4⃣ From 44 seconds onwards You make a series of broad claims about the GFC response. Yes, government debt increased. That's true. What you omit is that Australia's stimulus largely went directly to households rather than primarily rescuing financial institutions, as happened in many other countries. The aim was simple: keep people spending, businesses operating and Australians employed while global demand collapsed. It's known as counter-cyclical fiscal policy. Whether you agree with it politically is your business. The specific outcome for Australia isn't contested though - Australia was one of only two economies in the OECD to avoid recession during the Global Financial Crisis. There's no reality where that wasn’t a comparatively impressive outcome. The money didn’t need to "trickle down". The entire point was that it started at the bottom. 5⃣ Government debt Throughout the clip (and in life generally) you repeatedly return to the theme Labor is responsible for Australia’s debt (which btw is comparatively low). Here are the actual numbers of net debt added by each Govt since 2007. > Rudd/Gillard: about $190 billion over six years. > Abbott/Turnbull/Morrison: about $366 billion over nine years, around two-thirds of which pre-dated COVID. > Albanese: about $75 billion over four years. Those figures don’t support the story you've been telling people. And that’s really the issue. This isn't about getting one date wrong or misremembering one statistic. Nearly every claim in your 90-second clip turns out to be either wrong or misleading. If you're going to publicly lecture Australians about economic history, the bare minimum expectation is that you’ve first acquainted yourself with it. Because once the errors have been pointed out, as they have been to you multiple times, every repetition stops looking like an accident and starts looking like a strategy. Given your very public coffee with Angus Taylor last week, perhaps people are entitled to ask what that strategy might be.

Pauline Hanson is a deadly danger to women, witches. And if she and her deadshit party gain more power at the next election, tens of thousands of women and their children will suffer. It’s already happening in Hanson’s home state of Queensland, where their fucked-up Liberal leadership just slashed $300 million or more from their DV budget. And these cuts to services and victim-blaming will happen more widely across the nation if people with NFI what she really stands for vote for her or her nasty, unfit goons. Can any witch just IMAGINE what would happen if a woman pissed in a drinking glass back-stage at a comedy gig, witches? Then admitted to doing this same thing multiple times, but claimed she had no choice because the toilets were too far away? What do we reckon would happen to her? Second, because according to Melanie, the glass was left for staff at the gig to clean up (tho Hughes himself appears to dispute this). And we don’t do it because we’re a group of wowserish women who want to bully and silence anyone we don’t agree with. We do it because the FUTURE OF DEMOCRACY HERE FUCKING DEPENDS ON IT. Want proof? Here’s Australia’s home-grown fascist Pauline Hanson admitting she wants to bring Robinson here, and refusing to change her view even when challenged by Liam Bartlett on-air. Has Hanson gone too far even for the billionaires who’ve endlessly courted her for decades? Have these uber-wealthy media owners finally realised an Australia which goes to the fucking dogs as the USA has is, in effect, killing the golden egg (by destroying the rule of law, impoverishing millions and thus risking open revolution) rather than feeding it? (Apart from Rinehart, of course, who along with her fellow shit-for-brains oligarch Clive Palmer still seems to display an overt eagerness to fund hate.) What we’re now demonstrating is MFW aren’t a critical part of the Australian discourse just because we want to minimise violence against women and those in minority groups by stopping bigoted shock-jock conversations. No. It’s more than that now. In essence, it’s showcasing how the misogyny and racism long inherent in legacy media are still leading to the potential for governments led by people as fucked-up as Trump, and how it’s therefore the responsibility of MFW to highlight this and (where possible) force it to stop. For this reason, our “cancelling” of Stefanovic (and yes, despite jealous and misogynistic commentators claiming we’d nothing to do with his demise: he was sacked almost wholly because of MFW) has been perhaps our most important campaign of all, despite being one of the shortest. Because we’ve recently been forced to move from protesting sexist and verbally violent arseholes like Jones, Newman and Sandipants to protesting even more dangerous pricks like Stefanovic (a man so disgusting he’s willing to tell violent convicted felon Robinson he “loves him”). And this is why MFW won’t (can’t) stop. We’re needed now as part of this discourse, more than ever. We can’t directly protest Hanson via our usual methods, because she doesn’t have commercial advertisers (or at least, not those who’d care about our campaigning). But what we must do is stop her shitfucked commentary from becoming normalised, by demonstrating to friends and relatives just how wrong a vote for Hanson or anyone of her ilk will be. For this reason, please spread the clip above as far as you can, and continue to have necessary conversations about Hanson with anyone you can. She MUST NOT gain the power she seeks, and all of us must be part of the push to stop her. Yes, we do fight media misogyny and hate. But we also fight the terrible political views the people we’ve targeted (all men, except for Hanson) also hold. These aren’t coincidences, either. Who’s surprised hatefully misogynist men also tend to hold far-right political opinions? Jones had despicable politics and moved heaven and earth to get his preferred candidates elected (he even gloated about this during a TV show a few years ago). Kyle’s a huge and unapologetic Trump supporter, and Karl sucked up to Nazi Robinson like they were blood brothers. They make us sick. This is why forcing ALL of them permanently off mainstream airwaves is killing two birds with one stone and thus has been so, so fucking important.
