As a PVE enjoyer I hope the rats get bored over time and find a new game to be psychopaths in. Then I may revisit. Not opposed to pvp, their pvp is just poorly implemented.

No, ARC Raiders is not dead by any means. Maintaining nearly 70,000 concurrent players on Steam 7 months after release is impressive, especially following the announcement of only two major updates per year. For comparison, look at Battlefield 6’s player count after its latest season launch, and that was the best-selling game of 2025. ARC Raiders is still king, and there's no doubt about that. 2 major updates a year doesn't mean the game won't receive any new content until October. For instance, we’re getting a new Trader next week. I believe Embark will continue adding smaller updates from time to time to keep players engaged.

@Grrted world*. PvE focused lobbies. Just gotta do what the rats do if you run into someone, or happened to shoot a player by mistake - or to stop a rat. Until we have mode toggles this is the only way.

@Grrted You can go to stella night raid naked and ask peopple to kill you. I did this 4x when a new update drops and do not see rats. Pure pve coop comradery every round between many people. Its so frustrating to be ratted but this word does exist, its just dogwater ABMM. No shoot ever.

My philosophy when playing Arc raiders was to play as much as I could at release and enjoy it before it got incredibly sweaty and unfun. I am glad I made that decision and I am also glad I have not launched the game in 5 months

Embark is working on a new kernel-level solution for ARC Raiders' anti-cheat. They expect this new solution to sharply increase cheater detection. Their current anti-cheat already includes both kernel-level detection (EAC) and ML models (AI) trained on player data.

@BarronFabio @moh10702 @ARCRaidersGame Genre does not define the game, this is the most pve-focused "extraction shooter" around, and offers very little long term gain for aggression (more aggressive lobbies, more backstabbing, because of ABMM). Most pvp combat in solos is purely for griefing. 2s and 3s great for pvp.

@moh10702 @ARCRaidersGame This is the result largely of people actively gaming the ABMM system (both directions) to get into peaceful lobbies, then rat in them, versus trying to fight in actual pvp lobbies. Lets be clear, ratting, extract camping, fake friendlies, shooting in the back -- is not pvp.

@TheARCcentral I prefer PvE, but I want both play styles supported. I personally get way more enjoyment from defibbing a downed raider, or teaming up with some random raider(s) from across the country/world as we hunt down Arcs together. Nothing beats that feeling imo.
