@TheRepairShop and Will - you couldn’t find the veneer you were looking for from NZ because the tree is called a Rewa Rewa. Cursive handwriting didn’t help! It’s a beautiful tree produces amazing nectar from amazing red flowers which makes amazing and distinctive honey.

Do you remember when and where you joined Twitter? I do! I was teaching other Heads at a conference how to join and use it for their schools. #MyTwitterAnniversary And I feel old! But still in the game!

@NotreDame_SPORT Dear ND Sport - why is it always the Prep Team who fills your tweets?? What about the Senior Sport Team. Would love to hear about them too (and not just Guildford Swim Club - although the girls’ swimming is fab!)!!!

@BBCCountryfile @paddygrant Soooooo disappointed in the choice for the new Ramble hat! It does look better in prototype BUT what about a second choice that appeals to kids ie the Squirrel Hat?? Stripes do not sell to kids and kids at heart!

@NotreDame_SPORT Fab reporting of our Girls’ great achievements and great to see all the varied sports. But the Swim Galas are not often reported. What were the results of this Monday’s Swim Gala with @ManorHseSchool! Could we know how it went??

@xthecurlywurly @TheMontyDon @Wickes It’s endemic to these stores & shows 1st, a lack of Company motivation to address the issues around Eco products, & 2nd, a lack of training of the staff. My Daughter runs an Eco Zero Plastic business & we run into lack of training w/big companies everyday.

@TheMontyDon I went to @Wickes yesterday to grab some compost and chicken wire for my anti squirrel bulb pots and 3 things 1) All their bags had peat 2) the staff didn’t know what peat free was plus 3) didn’t care and said it didn’t matter. Obviously I walked out empty handed ….

Some gardeners are missing the point: It really doesnt matter how well plants in your garden grow or do not grow, no plants or garden justify the use of peat. Ever. We must therefore adapt- even if that means a loss of quality (which I firmly believe is not the case)

@TheMontyDon But surely you are blaming the wrong entity? Is it not hats (especially the never washed variety) who need to let loose their ‘personalities’ from time to time? Or maybe Nellie was protecting you… Poor #Nellie_the_Faithful!

@DrJaninaRamirez @ChrisGoGodfrey But, oh Awesome one (just like your friend in vaccines!), I think the original post was seeking your thoughts on the “Rockerfeller ‘killing traditional/herbal medicine’”. I’d be interested in your and your medical friend’s thoughts too!

I tell you what sucks. My friend from school was instrumental in the Astra-Zenica vaccine. She was a straight As student. A genius. And a bloody good person. She made the vaccine. Others get rich. That’s what pisses me off. So big love to Suzanne Couchman! High five her!

@TheMontyDon Please Sir Monty, in a show soon, correct the woman on this week’s show saying we have to save the honey bee! They are NOT in danger. Honey bees are killing our native ones by being voracious on pollen. BBC please Read the Kew Report and others.

@steviestallard But this is still Henry VIII’s Harrowing of the North where even now the Education system seeks to make less of our pupils’ heritage. I hate having to insist staff teach phonics using “Standard” Accent ie RP/BBC/Plummy accent. Which rules me out as a Kiwi!

@missroberts21 You are not a Teacher yet... that takes at least 3 years & more like 5. You’ll know when it happens, suddenly everything snaps into place. It takes this long because teaching well is bloody hard. Until then it will be a slog but the best work! Know that every day you are valued.

@ElizabethKnoxNZ @petesime That’s the glorious beauty (& most sig!difference!) b/w books for Children & YA fiction. Admittedly you don’t want a 6yo to realise it’s possible to tote weapons when “Going On A Bear Hunt” & then emulate that... When a kid discovers this difference in books it’s joyous to see.

The choices characters make in novels aren’t necessarily choices the novel is endorsing. For heaven’s sake.

@clarewilson35 @missokso Clare - PLEASE can u also include the challenges for kids & parents who do not have rooms to work in? I have families where either the parents or child sleep on the sofa. For them a 2x3 room for their kid would be a luxury.

@KateGladstone @acemindbreaker @Imani_Barbarin Scope of #Disability is huge. A balance must be struck. Too simple and things are accused of being “dumbed down”. Too simple & all w/disabilities are thought of as dumb. But increasing access to the conversation is a MUST. Any suggestions?

@acemindbreaker @Imani_Barbarin That’s important — and so is the other hint, about defining an uncommon word before using it. One problem is that even this won’t be enough for some people.

A lot of academics are ableist in that they use an out of reach vocabulary while posturing for disability inclusion. Disability inclusion means learning and cognitive disabilities too, which means you’re keeping them out as well.

@jlandpartners Dear Partners - you are doing a marvellous job at Kingston BUT all the emphasis on ‘directional safety’ means accessibility for mobility impaired people has gone out the window! Today was a nightmare experience in PAIN. Pls seek advice from differently able ppl.
