Nor with getting supporters of Palestinian Resistance arrested and charged with terrorism offences, as Bastani infamously did during this genocide just last year. Now Novara is promoting a campaign by Stephen Yaxley-Lennon and his disciples to whip up a media frenzy about 'repression' of white British identity, using a patently manufactured piece of agitprop about a child radicalised into racism and imperialism wearing the Butcher's Apron to school. This is now not just about Bastani seeking gigs on GB TV and elsewhere among the far-right. He has been actively attempting to transform Novara's audience, and not on issues where there should be convergence between the anti-imperialist Left and the anti-war Right, such as tackling Zionism (as there is in the US but not in Europe). Instead Bastani seeks to propagandise to his liberal audience far-right ideas about race, imperialism and immigration — not explaining these ideas for the purpose of challenging them, but to legitimise them. Are his equally guilty colleagues who have caused the scandals noted above in any position to rein him in? After all, Sarkar was frothing to have anti-Zionists expelled from the Labour Party; Rivkah Brown baselessly accused prominent critics of Zionism on the Left of sexual harassment to help the State of Israel; and Michael Walker enthusiastically pushed the CIA's 'Women, Life, Freedom' hoax. Novara Media is just as irretrievable as any 'New Left' party would be under the Zionist Corbyn and the Syria regime change supporter Sultana. It's time for a new media for a different politics.
