Update: It's been over a day now and my Instagram accounts @yandere and @pompompurin are still disabled, and hacked following the recent Meta AI-related exploit that effected me and thousands of others. I have screenshots, logs, and account activity showing events that occurred before my accounts were disabled. Since then, I’ve been repeatedly logged out, and all of my linked Meta accounts were affected through Accounts Center. The recovery process is now directing me to verify through an email address ending in …6@gmail.com, on one of my accounts which is not my email and was never associated with my accounts. The attached screenshot shows this. Despite providing evidence and spending countless hours with automated support, I’ve been unable to reach a human representative. Meta’s AI systems appear to have failed both in preventing this issue and in helping legitimate users recover their accounts afterward. I am requesting a manual investigation and restoration of my accounts. @Meta @Instagram @facebook @andymstone

@yand @ypkr Type the creation email instead of the username in that field and it will work, you can always restore the accounts through the OG email even if it has been unlinked for years.

Third time my Instagram account (@albert) has been hacked in the past 3 days 😵‍💫 I have 2FA enabled on all meta platforms I currently don’t even know my own accounts password nor can I reset it, because it’s hit the reset limit I can access it through linked accounts (which the hacker can unlink) 2FA does nothing because meta’s ai chatbot just bypasses it all… Literally all Meta has to do is disable this tooling from their chat bot… this should have been the very first thing they did. It is what ANY rational person would have done. Instead they continue to try and patch around it in real time instead of just not giving their chatbot admin access to all user accounts This is absurd…. 😞😞😞😞😞😞😞 @finkd your staff is asleep at the wheel, crashing your $1.5T company into the ground. Couldn’t recover an old IG account I lost 2FA for because IG support is nonexistent, but luckily @Meta’s vibe coded AI agent gave the account to someone random instead and they were able to change my username. Game is game
