@YMatoh Actually hii shop iko na watu wawili. Na ni shop hata mimi ninge set up but the way they do it is seamless. It is impressive. Wamefanya mpaka hii area inakaa life. Mind you kumekuwa na Mini Mart 10 meters away hufungwa 10.

WaMeru wanakuwanga very aggressive kwa kazi ama nikuzaliwa. I live in a very contained hood but some Meru peeps came and opened a 24 Hours Mini Mart that sells everything. And they just set up in a week. Wanauza mpaka beans na Kamande bana.

Meru business people are a different breed, wallahi. When they open a shop in any part of the country, they don’t come to try, they come to dominate. 24/7 open, M-PESA float always heavy, cash available and all the essentials stocked like they knew exactly what the neighborhood was missing. And honestly, when they set up, they don’t just join the local economy they shake the whole market. The other day in Utawala I was just trying to deposit 5K and every shop was like “hakuna float” until I walked into a Meru guy’s shop. The man didn’t even blink. Transaction done in seconds.
