@_JasonLT It was schedule negligence. They could have had 4-5 day break if they just conceded the Thunder game, sat players and went after OKC in LA. Beat Mavs, Suns, Warriors, Jazz easier games = Guaranteed 3 seed Luka/AR injuries are pure negligence by LA.

It was a calculated risk, sure. Go after the 3 seed, get home court, draw an easier opponent. I thought the reasoning was sound, I just didn’t think JJ needed to push it quite to the extent that he did. Their roster is set up to cut their stars’ minutes a bit.

Lakers torching their season by playing an already hurt Luka in a meaningless end of the season game down by 30 is a perfect summation of where the franchise is at… Nothing but pebbles rattling in the heads of the people that make decisions.

- Whoever gave green light for Luka to go back into game down 31 at half after tweaking his hamstring in 1st half + same leg hammy earlier in season needs to be fired today. - If Reaves can’t get you out of 1st round as the guy (if Luka out) absolutely not worth a new max deal

That’s enough NBA basketball until the playoffs. What I watched in the 4th quarter of the Heat game was some of the most pathetic and embarrassing stuff from an NBA product I’ve ever seen.

@RajChipalu This is not a player problem, it’s a Lakers philosophy problem. Luka, LeBron, AR, Rui, Ayton are all offense first players. None of them want to rebound/play defense which causes problems like this and why they get blown out by double digits often.

People are going to go at him for this quote but there was absolutely an understanding that he expected a certain involvement/touches in the offense that just hasn’t been there since the beginning of the season.

@jjmaples55 A team that lacks identity will lack the fundamentals to consistently win on a level needed to win a championship. A soft team that can score is the best interpretation of what they’ve been the past couple of years.
