This is really important work by Fionn, Sean and co. Are we missing a trick (or more importantly high potential athletes) by not having more (official/unofficial) games and tournaments for late maturing athletes. Could we run a concurrent late developer programmes in Gaa for late maturers or train with younger development groups if physical attributes are the main limiting factor at their own age group?

Do maturity selection biases exist in Netball? The data we collected from one academy suggest so but with a bias towards late developers that emerges in mid adolescence and increases with age 🗑️👧
