@VRDesktop The majority of VD users use local discovery to connect using their dedicated router setups, since the quest loses internet connection upon connecting to the dedicated router. Stop trying to obfuscate the use case by making sound like local discovery isn't the norm. It is.

5) Oh and if you were wondering, it does work with Virtual Desktop but only through local discovery since you have no internet access so it won’t let you connect across LANs.
Save yourself a hundred dollars (or more if outside the US). Buy yourself a 40$ dedicated router.

Got the VR Air Bridge (for 150$ CAD) to give it a try and the only thing it does is add more friction to the PCVR experience. It’s worst than I thought: 🧵
1) Setup wasn’t plug & play; the Oculus app didn’t see the dongle until a computer restart even though Windows detected it.

@GiancarloChaux I disagree. Market fees (+royalties) are the price one pays for a trustless safe trading system. Ask many ex-BAYC owners what can be the cost of bypassing that.
