@billyswong @ShamashAran I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything. My comments are meant for educational purposes. There are already several options that exist outside of systemd. My computer doesn't have any of the above problems.

@a017444 @ShamashAran You are unlikely to convince the majority to give up the immutable log. But solns to improve privacy do exist. Either we put PII in a separate mutable store as in what suggested in the Github issue ticket, or we put PII in a separate immutable log but don't upload it to vendor.
