A Clean Los Angeles

@acleanla

It's time we advocate for IMMEDIATE solutions. Thousands shouldn't have to live in tents. Streets shouldn't be littered with trash. The status quo is not ok.

@KarenBassLA As of 2022, 41,980+ people are homeless in @LACity at night Housing under Measure HHH is exceeding $800k per unit (above the median home cost in the US) Our streets, walkways, etc. are overflowing with trash, debris and encampments. Angelenos deserve more than empty promises.

Karen Bass @MayorOfLA claimed she’s MOVING URGENTLY on homelessness Four years later, how come the count is higher and the crisis is far worse? LA needs real change. Karen Bass and her failed status quo have got to go.

The Westside barely survived ten years of DSA/Bonin lawlessness, chaos, and crime. It doesn't matter what zip code you live in - no resident, family, or business anywhere - should have to put up with this kind of behavior, period. Vote accordingly!

NEW: A homeless encampment in Venice is fueling a growing political clash at LA City Hall. Neighbors say the encampment is unsafe, citing crime and violence. Leaders are split — some pushing enforcement, others arguing it just shifts the problem.

We don't have a homeless problem. We have a crime problem. Very few people mind if you sleep in your car, shower in a gym, and are involved in society. What we're fed up with is needles, used condoms and human feces on the sidewalk, trash everywhere, sidewalks blocked, raw sewage dumped in gutters, bus stops unusable, public transit roulette where any day you might get a violent crazy person on your bus/train, homeless people stealing our power and water, break ins and petty crime, and we're exhausted by the gut wrenching feeling as we go check on another strung out homeless person sprawled across the sidewalk to see if theyre alive or dead.

We’ve been able to reduce street homelessness by nearly 18%. But we’re not done. These are the stories behind the numbers.

UPDATE: Mayor Bass’s “unhoused neighbors” have now set the other building of the church on fire from the inside. @CW_HeatherHutt @MayorOfLA this is unacceptable and your negligence is endangering our communities

For 2 years I have emailed @CW_HeatherHutt that homeless keep breaking into Palms Presbyterian Church and the owners allow it. They were more concerned correcting me that the “homeless” are “people experiencing homelessness” than acting. Now it went up in flames. Unacceptable

WATCH: A downtown LA @USPS post office is still open, but surrounded by trash, rats and encampments. Workers report assaults. Residents say they feel unsafe. Some living there say they want help, but haven’t been offered. A city cleanup is planned for next week.

VIDEO: A viewer tells me concerns about a Metro bus stop at Melrose & Vine in LA’s Larchmont area. They say one person has taken over the stop and has been seen throwing liquor bottles… despite repeated reports, nothing appears to be done. This location has a troubling history: months ago, another homeless person was found dead here after prior concerns were raised. The resident tells me: “I reported this to LAHOP and CD13 before—last time, the person I flagged was later found dead on that same bench.”

Isn’t it odd how Karen Bass @MayorOfLA had cars towed very quickly for the Oscars, yet allows scenes like this one to fester all over LA? Our Sanitation department has enough to deal with—especially after Karen slashed their budget We gotta reject this failed status quo.
