Troops arrest suspects linked to ‘silent killings’ in Plateau
By: Zagazola Makama
Troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) have arrested suspected criminals linked to a series of “silent killings” in parts of Plateau State.
Security sources said the arrests followed intensified intelligence-driven operations and stop-and-search exercises across identified flashpoints within Jos metropolis and adjoining communities.
The sources disclosed that the suspects were believed to be involved in covert attacks and targeted killings carried out in isolated areas, often under the cover of darkness.
It was gathered that the operations led to the interception of the suspects at strategic locations, with security operatives also recovering weapons and other incriminating items.
The arrests come amid rising concerns over sporadic killings and the discovery of bodies in secluded areas, which had heightened tension among residents.
Authorities said the suspects are currently in custody and undergoing interrogation to unravel possible networks and accomplices.
The command reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining aggressive operations to dismantle criminal elements and restore lasting peace across Plateau.
Residents were urged to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible information.

🗣️ Politically, I’m afraid of this woman 😭
The way she keeps quiet, you’ll think nothing is happening next thing, boom! checkmate. Her silence is really dangerous
Her silence is not ordinary silence o… it’s “calculating in HD.” If you think she’s sleeping, she’s actually three steps ahead, waiting for you to make one mistake.
At this point, decoding her moves should be a inspected 🤭🎓
Abeg, I’m just here praying: ADC, please… deny her the ticket before we all start doing “HOW?” 🥲
Because if she gets it, na we go explain tire.

A CHRISTIAN BOKO HARAM MEMBER JOHN ADO AND HIS CO BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS CAPTURED IN ADAMAWA STATE.
On 29th March 2026.
Three Boko Haram terrorists, including John Ado, were captured by the military in Balda, Gombi LGA, Adamawa State on March 29, 2026. They were part of the group that attacked Southern Borno and claimed to be collectors of booty who didn't use weapons. Their leaders killed and decapitated soldiers and planned to attack Mubi military barracks, steal explosives, and destroy the Benue River bridge in Yola,
Terrorism knows no tribe or religion. We must reject d tendency to shield terrorists simply because they share our ethnic or religious affiliations. Let's stop unfairly stigmatizing Muslims and instead unite in our efforts to combat terrorism and hold all sponsors accountable, regardless of background.

BBC Hausa is the only media outlet that reported about this abduction, so far.
This has become so normalised that it only shock us for few seconds, because it happens everyday and there's no guarantee it won't happen again tomorrow.
Nigerian are forced to go to bed with this cruelty.
We are on our own in this country. May Nigeria not happen to us🙏
