Escrow & Closing is to Opendoor what AWS was to Amazon. The infra we use to run our business. It is great. We want it to power what others are building.
Today, Opendoor acquired Doma’s escrow services to make home closing faster, cheaper and more certain. For everyone.

@garyblack00 Or just stamp every camera video with which mode it’s driving on.

There’s no question in my mind FSD (or autopilot) was turned off at the time of the crash. That’s not the point: $TSLA needs to think longer term and invest in a 1-2 person PR team to squash mistaken commentary by the media like this. TSLA’s inability to control the narrative is again hurting the company’s brand and reputation for safety, which will be critical as it tries to secure regulatory approvals to launch fully autonomous Cybercabs with no steering wheel or pedals later this year. Why put a timely launch of Cybercab at risk to save a few dollars?
English

Intense debate continues online about the Fox News dashcam footage from an August 18, 2025 incident near Houston involving a mom with her infant in a $TSLA Cybertruck. The video shows the truck allegedly in Full Self-Driving (FSD) mode failing to follow a right-hand curve on the overpass, barreling straight ahead through traffic cones, and slamming into a concrete barrier instead of curving safely. Tesla has stated via Elon Musk that autopilot (or FSD?) was disengaged four seconds before impact. The victim is suing TSLA for $1 million.
While we believe video logs will show that FSD (or autopilot) was in fact disengaged prior to the accident, the absence of an effective PR team at TSLA to put to rest media misstatements (here Fox News) is again hurting the company’s brand and reputation for safety, which will be critical as it tries to secure regulatory approvals to launch fully autonomous Cybercabs with no steering wheel or pedals nationally later this year.

'TERRIFYING': Dashcam video shows the moment a Tesla Cybertruck, allegedly operating in self-driving mode, nearly sent a Houston mom and her infant off a bridge before violently crashing into an overpass barrier. The woman claims she suffered multiple injuries from the incident and is now suing the automaker for $1 million.

@elonmusk When I’ve run into people who are in the know, I inquire, they tell me nothing, but their eyebrows raise and their eyes widen in a way that can only mean something of sorcery and magic is coming…

New Roadster unveil hopefully next month.
It will be a banger next-level.

How can you read this and not want to see $OPEN succeed?

Opendoor's aim is to be the most pro-American family tech company. That's why every Opendoor home will come with an American flag and a flag pole.

For everyone who is recommending using #claude which version should I go with?
What I want to solve is insurance coverage for my patients. I want to figure out true eligibility and detailed breakdown of benefits and coverage. I want this done in a standard way so that it looks the same from one insurance carrier to another. Insurance companies make it hard to get this data. I want Claude to be able to make outbound calls to insurance companies if needed. But I want Claude to also provide me a pdf list of 20 most commonly used procedure codes in my practice and the coverage percentages for those codes. Can @claudeai do this or is it wishful thinking?

If you automate the entire white-collar workforce and lock the Pentagon out of your technology, the government will not negotiate with you.
They will take it.
Palantir CEO Alex Karp just exposed the fatal blind spot in the Silicon Valley mindset.
The tech industry is architecting the replacement of the entire white-collar workforce.
At the exact same time, many of these labs are actively refusing to cooperate with the US military.
Karp sees exactly where this ends.
Karp: “If Silicon Valley believes we are going to take away everyone’s white collar job, meaning primarily democratic shaped people whom I grew up with, highly educated people who went to elite schools, and you’re going to screw the military. If you don’t think that’s going to lead to nationalization of our technology, you’re retarded.”
The engineers think their brilliance protects them.
They think mathematical genius translates to geopolitical leverage.
It doesn’t.
Karp: “You might be particularly retarded because you have a 160 IQ, but this is where that path is going.”
A 160 IQ means nothing against the entity with the monopoly on violence.
AGI is not a software product.
It is not a consumer app.
It is not a platform with terms of service.
It is the most powerful geopolitical asset ever constructed.
And sovereign states do not ask permission to secure their most critical infrastructure.
The equation is not complicated.
Automate the economy.
Antagonize the military.
Lose the company.
Silicon Valley can play moral arbiter.
Or they can remain independent.
They cannot do both.
No private entity in history has ever held the ultimate weapon during a war and walked away with it.
The state will not break that pattern for a tech CEO’s principles.

@RealJimChanos @mikepat711 It’s been real good for years. Especially with version 14+
English

@mikepat711 So it was not “incredible” two years ago, after all? Or does “incredible” mean “trash”? Just trying to decipher $TSLA Fanboy English…and how you might be describing your 2026 experience in 2028.

English

Ahahahaha. Elon fucking cooked up self driving and still most don’t believe it’s real. I love this shit. I thought it was trash 2 years ago but now I’m sitting here laughing, shaking my head daily.
That crazy son of a bitch did it, man.
Just got through the DC gauntlet. Still haven’t touched the steering wheel or pedals today. Started in Raleigh. Multiple downpours, daytime, night time. Doesn’t matter.
It just cooks through everything

@draecomino Or the only companies who have had massive layoffs like this are founded by the same person. This time he wasn’t waiting for E to come in.
