@SwipeWright @janeclarejones Colin, your intial response was not only callous given a man lost his life, it was wrong. I have followed your work on the science of gender medicine but I have been disturbed by the contortions you’ve made to defend the insanity ICE has unleashed in Minneapolis.

Jane, this is untrue. I think this case is different than the Good case in many respects. I also did not "initially defend this" one. I specifically told people to wait for evidence, and then came out saying that if my assessment was accurate then it would NOT have been a justified shooting. The evidence has since again shifted to where it appears there was a unintended discharge of Pretti's gun by a BP agent, leaving us in the unfortunate situation of the shooting being unjustified given that Pretti was disarmed and did not shoot, yet also potentially justified from the officer's POV given that other officers yelled "gun!" which was followed by a gunshot. It's a terrible situation, but very nuanced. I don't believe you have fully assessed what actually happened. And no, I don't and have never supported a "fascist regime." I take things issue by issue and call out errors when I see them regardless of what side of the political spectrum they're coming from.

It's the same false narrative they told about Good, which you defended. And you were initially defending this and have only stopped because there is clear as day evidence they shot him multiple times in the back. You are supporting a fascist regime Colin. Fucking own it.

What I find most shocking about this NYT investigation is that while @PeteHegseth was going out of his way to undermine Ukraine his frm colleagues at Fox were calling Trump to plead for more weapons.
