Here’s how the scam works: ➮They list a few items on Magic Eden. ➮ Then buy from themselves to pump volume (currently 1.016 BTC with a 0.065 BTC floor). ➮ You see the volume, search them on X, and it looks like a hidden gem. ➮ You spot a mint link from @inscribenow_io with “just a few left.” ➮You rush to mint before it sells out but you realize your piece isn’t indexed. 👀 t’ll only index after they mint out,but they never mint out . You just lost 0.0053333 BTC. They recycle the X account and repeat. 12 days ago they were @opcat_odinfun. Before that? Opium Milady. I fell for it once. Don’t be next. Red flags to watch: 1. Pumped volume but no one’s talking about it. 2. Weird vibes in the X replies 🤖 , inflated engagement). 3. Reused X account: Use Recycle Report to check the account’s name history. Stay safe

The best way to grow this ecosystem is for real builders to come together and create something meaningful. Pump-and-dump NFTs and shitcoins can’t compete with what other chains offer faster, cheaper, and more fun. What will make Bitcoin stand out is real communities, strong IP, and talented teams of devs and artists. If we focus on actual work instead of hype, things like low-speed transactions won’t matter because quality wins. Most people chase names and promises out of money or loneliness, but by this time next year, the Ordinals community will be in a much better place. As long as we keep saying "this is just funny" or "this is only a meme," we’re encouraging dumbness to make a quick buck. Instead, we should see the tokenized future and view NFTs or tokens as support or investment in projects and people. If not, we’ll stay stuck in a toxic loop of scams and dumbness.

Why isn't anyone building a ordinals "dex" where market makers run hot wallets pre-configured with the prices they want to buy and sell at and construct transactions collaboratively with market takers? - Collaboratively-constructed transactions can use SIGHASH_ALL to avoid mempool sniping. - Input lots can be split arbitrarily. - Use any price curve you want. - Platform can provide value by brokering connections between market makers and takers so IPs aren't revealed and market makers don't need to be publicly reachable, and can take a fee on every transaction. - Platform doesn't hold keys so never has custody of assets. - One thousand times simpler than all the L2 Rube Goldberg machines. - Literally solves all L1 trading problems, except the block time and transaction fees, which are inherent to Bitcoin. Feel like I'm taking crazy pills with everyone talking about how trading sucks and runes are dead when such a simple solution is possible. GGEZ
