Starting with the new year all of our add-ons will have a minimum requirement of PHP 7.4. They may continue to work for awhile with 7.2, but don’t count on it. 7.4 may seem high, but it’s actually EOL and has stopped receiving security fixes 😬 #eecms php.net/supported-vers…

Released new versions of Publisher and Reel that use php-scoper to namespace all Composer dependencies to the add-on itself. No more Composer package version conflicts *cough* Guzzle *cough* with other add-ons. #eecms

@gunstone @nep @bmackenty Also if you compare this to EE template tags and swap out a few : for ., and { for {{ or {% it’s almost identical. It’s just syntax sugar. I haven’t done performance testing yet, but I bet it’s faster too. String parsing is slow and memory intensive.

@boldminded @mithra62 Am I correct that it currently only works with member roles and percentages? Might it one day be possible to create groups based on custom criteria (i.e. at least X comments; no visits in previous 30 days; etc)?

Well that escalated quickly. A simple feature request turned into a 777 addition and 440 deletion Git branch. #eecms
