Relocating to another country & adapting to different cultures brings about an understanding of how an environment can influence and shape beliefs. The younger you are, the easier it will be . However, if you are older, you need to teach your mind to unlearn stuff...

I am exploring TTS/STT for one of my apps. ElevenLabs & Google work well for other languages. Curious if there are good models that support African/Zimbabwean languages like Shona and Ndebele, ideally with proper African accents?

Is there a text-to-speech (TTS) synthesis tool that specialize in or include support for African languages, offering high-quality, natural-sounding AI voices similar to ElevenLabs. With atleast 50% coverage for Southern African Languages /Shona /Ndebele /Zulu /Pedi /Tswana

2006–2010 while at the University of Zimbabwe after lectures chilling outside the computer lab. Me & my friends were convinced 😄Once we hit industry, we’d fix everything. We honestly thought: “How hard can this be?”

To close it out - we grew up. We did the best we could. And we continue to do the best we can. You adapt. Some things you change. Others, you learn to live with. Until next time

If you’re a business owner, survival comes first. Be ready to do whatever it takes. Fight for what you believe in - but understand the hierarchy. Adapt, endure, and make it work.

💡The Real Source of a Nation’s Wealth Is Its Thinking Power Two books I have been reflecting on, Cognitive Capitalism by Heiner Rindermann and Hive Mind by Garett Jones, offer one of the most profound insights about national development. They both reach the same conclusion: Nations rise or fall on the quality of their collective intelligence. Rindermann shows that the thinking ability of citizens, what he calls Cognitive Capitalism, is the most valuable form of capital any nation can build. Jones, in Hive Mind, makes an equally powerful point: your nation’s average IQ matters more for your success than your own IQ does. This means no one truly wins alone. Your productivity, creativity, and innovation depend heavily on the mental environment you live in, the shared intelligence of your society. The implication is profound: If we want lasting economic progress, we must invest more in building the cognitive capacity of the people. To win, nations must deliberately build cognitive infrastructure: education systems that cultivate reasoning, problem solving, and curiosity from early childhood through adulthood. This means shifting from rote learning to teaching how to think, not what to think; investing in teachers as intellectual builders, not content deliverers; and creating environments that reward innovation, evidence based decision making, and merit. In the long run, it is the nations that raise their people’s ability to think that raise their standard of living. @ipcconsultants
