Every few years, the world reminds us of our place. A threat here, a tariff there. But the message is the same: stay in your lane, India. Global powers will always bully us, unless we take our destiny in our own hands. And the only way to do that is if we collectively decide to become the world's largest most unapologetic superpower in the world. In economy, in technology, in defense, and most importantly, in ambition. There is absolutely no other way.

Latest inflation (महंगाई) figures are out. Retail inflation in April 2025 fell to 3.16%, the lowest in nearly 6 years (since July 2019), continuing a downward trend. For FY 2024-25, retail inflation was 4.6%, the lowest since 2018-19, marking three consecutive years of decline. Double-digit inflation (over 10%) seen during the UPA era is no longer a concern, reflecting effective governance and price control in the past decade. Since 2014, retail inflation has not crossed 8%, in contrast to the UPA’s 2004–14 average of 8.1%, with 10.4% during 2009–14. From Jan 2012 to Apr 2014, inflation was above 9% in 22 out of 28 months, hitting double digits 9 times. Food inflation: •NDA (1999–2004): 2.2% •UPA-I (2004–09): 6.5% •UPA-II (2009–14): 11% •NDA (2014–2024): 5.3% Fuel inflation: •UPA-II: 8.9% •NDA (2014–2024): 4.4% Overall, the data indicates better inflation control, especially in food and fuel, under the NDA government compared to the UPA era.

Amidst information coming from International media & defence analysts (Not denied by our Air Force spokesman) that we lost multiple fighter jets including Rafales to Pakistan’s Chinese made fighters, the focus must also shift to our infamous Rafale deals. We bought Rafales for >4x price of the Chinese jets bought by Pakistan. We gave up transfer of technology & have virtually destroyed our HAL. The blame for our present debacle squarely rests on our political leadership.
