@FnahtanoJ @ex_libris85 And this is a protection detail for the mayor of one of the largest cities on the planet. Comparing this to normal patrol duty is apples to oranges. His security should be taken more seriously than 10 round Glocks and semi auto mp5s.

@ex_libris85 Yes indeed, they have done since the early 90s at least. They don't need automatic capability nor is it deemed sensible from a public safety standpoint. Most US depts don't use FA either.
